Ahhh finally had a great leg day!!!! 😍 I've been struggling with my workouts because I haven't been sleeping enough, eating good enough or even feeling good enough.. I relaxed and replenished myself this weekend and was good to go! 🤸🏽♀️ I had to improvise A LOT tonight bc literally all the squat racks and machines were taken. I did a lot of cable work which really burned and got my heart rate up😅 the extra resistance from the cable challenges the muscle that much more 😈 and I was LOVIN IT! Don't let a crowded gym ruin your workout. You don't have to do barbell squats on leg day! Just grab yourself some dumbbells, use your body weight or even try the cables on for size! Get that burn in and then get out🙌🏼🔥 that's all that matters!
By far my favorite time of the day is anytime I get to coach some barbell work. I love having structure. My athletes know the process of warm ups; cues stay short, actionable, and observable. Just like filming yourself performing movements for training and on demonstration purposes, don't neglect the opportunity to film your coaching session. This allows you to go back and give yourself critiques on things you could have said better, missed cues, also you can see everyone's rep later on so you can address issues you may have missed while working with someone else. If you allow yourself to be afraid of criticism then you've officially limited your ability to grow. Today was a very interesting Monday. I lost my debit card at he gym. I got pulled over for driving without my headlights on (dummy) I spilled ice coffee all over my pants (wooooo 💃🏻 ) I tripped over my own feet in my adidas flip flops sprinting to my car, some guy started racking my weight for me without me asking and asked me if I needed a spot and I said "nah" I forgot j had a project due Thursday I completely neglected this weekend. I accidentally sprinkled cayenne on my oatmeal instead of cinnamon LOL, I lost my car keys twice in the span of 20 minutes. Someone asked me what my "goals" were, I said "to get thicker then a snicker" someone told me "wow you're really short" YA DONT FCKKN SAY?!!?!? . I was out of my house and working from 8-8. I'm really tired and want to pass out. I ate pumpkin spice Cheerios as PART OF 3 separate meals today (basic) . Also ate oatmeal, pancakes, protein bars, apple(s) and banan(s) 2 pumpkin 🎃 Reese's (team carbs) honestly I'm not making any sense end somehow I'm still here standing 😂at least My squats felt like 🍰🍰🍰🍰 today. Some failure in life is inevitable, but being defeated is a choice. .
It is impossible to live your life without failing at something.
If you're not failing sometimes, you are living your life too cautiously. .
You are not chasing your dreams, you are not pushing yourself, you are not stepping outside of your comfort zone. You're settling for the easy way out, the average road. .
In order to succeed, one must fail.
One must learn from these failures, grow, and keep moving forward.
One must realize that the key to success, is failure 🔑
Today didn't go my way. I failed.
Yes, I'm freaking disappointed and angry with myself, but being defeated is a choice I do not choose. .
I choose to give myself 5-10 emotional minutes when I fail at something. I cry, or scream, let it all out, then I force myself to learn and move on from it.
Today may have not gone my way, but I choose to use it as motivation instead of letting it defeat me or destroy my dreams.
So when you fail,
Just remember failure is a much more of a faithful teacher, than immediate success ✨

Although the weather has seen better days currently on the GC don't let the grey skies put hold on your training. Don't worry team it's not raining at the gym 😂 although for some it seems that's an adequate excuse.. What's everyone training today ?
My current training is me in a slight caloric surplus for the last couple months. Been sitting my macros around the 300-350 carbs per day, whilst not letting things get out of hand. Over the coming weeks / months I will begin to "cut" and shred some "stubborn fat cells" 😂😉 (they ain't that stubborn mate you just like cake). Bringing that caloric intake back down slightly and increasing my activity ever so slightly as the weather decides to play ball.

Don't just count your blessings. Be the blessing other people can count on. Once you've taken personal responsibility, and your comfortable financially, you can finally take a deep breath. Practice GRATTITUDE.
It doesn't stop there! Once you can take that deep breath, then lift your head, look to your left and right, and see who you can bless.
It must happen in that order. No different then the flight attendant who tells you to secure your mask before you help those around you. You can't help others if you can't help yourself.
Put the work in. Reap what you sow. Be grateful. THEN, and only then, you can be a blessing to others.
Stresses will come and go, no matter how much money is in your bank account, but there's a big difference between broke stress and wealthy stress. To whom much is given, much will be required.
Stay blessed and be a blessing to others. That's how you win. 👊
Remember the vision. Even when others don’t see it, even when others don’t get it, and even when you feel like you’re not supported. Stay true to bringing your dreams and desires to fruition. Two of my old insecurities.. 1: my natural, curly hair 2: my natural skin. Two of my new confidences.. 1: my natural, curly hair 2: my natural skin. Growing up, I always hated my natural hair and began putting SO much unnecessary heat on it just to make it look like “other girls’” & damaged my hair so much in that time. I haven’t put any heat on it, besides my diffuser, in over a month. Some days, my curls are frizzier than others, but- ohhhhh welllll🤷🏽♀️ I used to wear a butt ton of make up because I just wanted to look different, I’m finally at the stage that I just feel confident in the face that I have. Some people have acne, some people have bushy eyebrows.. I have dark circles & they may annoy me, but I don’t care if anyone likes them or hates them. They annoy me but I’m embracin’ ‘em🙋🏽 I’ve been in the process of just loving myself the way I naturally am✨ God made ME beautiful JUST the way I am right now.
