Isssa rest day 😌
Something i wish i told myself at the beginning of my fitness journey, and to the people just starting their fitness journey, is to TAKE A REST DAY!
I remember when i first started i would get legitimate anxiety if i couldn’t make it to the gym 7 days a week in fear that i would lose progress or fall behind. I see so many other girls having the same mindset.
Your body needs a day or 2 to rest to be able to perform to its best abilities and prevent injury. And if you’re sick... STAY HOME! It’s going to do you absolutely no good going to the gym when you are sick. Stay home, rest, get some electrolytes in you, then get back to the gym when you feel better. I promise you, you will live. The gym will always be there! Your health is the most important. ——————————————-
In summary: it’s okay to take a rest day. I’m BEGGING you to take a rest day. Your body will thank you later 👍🏼
Now I’m going to go drink some hot chocolate, take an Epsom salt bath, and do some Christmas shopping later ☺️🎄 Happy Wednesday everyone!
