She is slaying again 😍😍
I’ve started focusing on my arms a bit more. I really want to be able to do a pull up all on my own. My legs may be strong but my arms are so weak lol the first clip is from my assisted pull-ups with -85lbs... I then went into a little circuit I saw @kymnonstop do on the @underarmourwomen profile. (Except I added the bosu) •5 push-ups
•10 plank jacks (I stepped out because it won’t hurt my shoulder so much)
•20 squats

Not every workout is extreme. Not every workout is super heavy weights or super fast feet. Not every workout leaves you dripping in sweat.
But I guarantee you THIS: they all serve their purpose. They all magnify weaknesses. They all are effective in their own capacity.
The fastest way for me to see my weaknesses is to do a workout that I’ve never done or I know focuses on my weaknesses. For me, it’s always going to be yoga or Pilates. Do I run from it? Sometimes. But I’m not afraid to own the weaknesses and work on them to be better tomorrow. Don’t run from them. Embrace them. And attack them until they aren’t a weakness anymore.

This morning was not for me. I snoozed my alarm so many times, I️ took up most of my time to get ready for work. OOPS! 💁🏼‍♀️ But, I got up and CRUSHED my upper body workout this morning. So good, I could barely blow dry or curl my hair! 💪🏻

You’ve been good all week with your diet and going to the gym. Now its the weekend and you want to let loose with your friends, but how will alcohol affect your weight loss progress?

Alcohol as you may know is a macro-nutrient. Containing about 7 calories per gram, this is nearly twice as much as your proteins and carbs. However unlike the other macro-nutrients, alcohol doesn’t provide a feeling of satiety. Instead your appetite actually increases. As a result you’re more likely to eat on top of the calories you’re consuming through drinking. This is where your weight loss is affected. Alcohol interferes with the how the liver utilizes calories from fat. Fat being the body’s preferred source of energy. When alcohol is introduced to the body, your liver burns through those calories first. This causes a build up of fatty acid. Now this doesn’t mean you can’t have a drink every once and while but moderation is key.  Firstly, you want to make sure that you have eaten your meal for day; you shouldn’t skip out on meal to preserve calories for drinking. With your inhibition loosened and appetite increasing it will be more difficult to resist those munchies. Secondly, you want to make sure you avoid intoxication. Intoxication cause protein synthesis to shut down. This is because when you are intoxicated your body goes into a catabolic state. Meaning you are losing muscle tissue. With that said there is a way to track your drinking into your macros.

This morning my workout consisted of lots of back 🙌🏾 You guys can see my form is a bit cramped up on this pic. That's what you get when you squeeze out the very last bit of energy you have left in your body. Even though the form isn't perfect, it still delivers results. And that's with everything in life my friends. Don't wait with starting something until every situation is perfect... that will never happen. Rather than doing that, start chasing your goals and dreams in life right now and learn to improve on the way.
