Here's my little beauty eating her dinner. With apple for afters😁 this one, is my toughest food critic. 
She doesn't 'like' vegetables or anything 'green' and 'healthy'; organic is a dirty word😂 so as you can imagine, it's very difficult to get her to eat anything real and decent other than processed food😖however we work with what she will eat and make the most of it with various amounts of sneaking and hiding!😈
she loves fish, whole grain foods, some fruit (including apples). I have faith this will develop 😂🙈
Anyway, the point I wanted to make was how wonderful apples have been in her life👏🏼😃
Belle has suffered (you see I used past tense there☝🏻😉) with terribly sore, itchy eczema😔 the good news is she's not had a 'bout' in about two years. (she's had signs it was going to start and then it just disappears)Coincidentally, since I decided we were going to introduce apples in her diet on a daily basis!😃 it may not work for everyone but it worked for her. 
The science bit:
Foods containing quercetin (like apples):
Quercetin is a plant-based flavonoid. It helps give many flowers, fruits, and vegetables their rich color. It’s also a powerful antioxidant and antihistamine. This means it can reduce inflammation as well as levels of histamine in your body.
Foods high in quercetin include:
apples,blueberries,cherries,broccoli (she claims to 'like' this too🤔),spinach and kale. 
Foods containing probiotics: Probiotic foods, such as yogurt, contain live cultures that help support a strong immune system. All may help reduce flare-ups or allergic reactions. 
I would never claim any food is a miracle in ridding our bodies of diseases and ailments. But I do believe a good diet definitely supports in reducing disease and ailments.😃

I know this looks like just another green smoothie, but I feel like I have perfected the ingredients. My husband says it's the best smoothie he has ever had  and my kids drink it right up!  I've made it 3 times in the past week. 
Here's the ridiculously easy recipe-
Half can of full fat coconut milk. 2-3 handfuls of ice.  About half of a mango. 1 banana. And as much spinach as you can fit in the blender (for me is 4-5 big handfuls I smash down). And blend away. Seriously so good and makes 2 big servings!  Enjoy!!

Refoguei cebola e açafrão da terra com óleo de gergelim e  depois fiz um molhinho com missô, água, sal, masala, 1 Cc de melado, biomassa e temperos frescos. O que faz esse prato ficar gostoso é o molho. Dá pra fazer várias combinações com  leguminosas (proteína) e cereais (carboidratos) e usar este mesmo molho, é só inventar uma!

It's hoodie and beanie season, but also pumpkin chocolate cookie season!!! 🍪🎃 I've had to experiment making them gluten free and dairy free, but they are soooo delish! 🤤 Most the time the dough gets eaten even before I can bake them. When I do make a batch they last about .2 seconds! I love simple small traditions like this, because I am bnot a huge baker, but I do love me some pumpkin cookies! 🍪✨🍪 This is the season I do buy milk for the kids so they can have it with their cookies. I've been getting raw goats milk at our local coop. Cheers to the first gooey yummy batch! 🥛🍪 Happy hump day! 😘

I didn't have time to make a smoothie at all these past couple of days and I was craving one...even in this fall weather. 🍁🎃Usually the change in seasons gives me some anxiety but I realize that changes in the routine of life is necessary for spiritual growth and a greater perspective on Gods amazing grace. Perfection doesn't equal happiness but realizing that I am loved eternally by Christ brings me peace and joy!

Delish grain free pancakes, fresh made strawberry 🍓 syrup with a side of smoked turkey. I can't lie I cheated a bit on the pancakes.! I found a great pre-made box mix, and it does help make all this cooking I now have to do a bit easier. Let's just say my digestive system could use a breather. 😄 So we start the day with a warm homemade detox tea with apple cider vinegar, lemon, cinnamon and cayenne. Then we'll move onto putting the good stuff in- probiotics, digestive enzymes, super greens like chlorella and matcha, antioxidants, and adaptogens to support my immune system and fight off and airport bugs I may have come into contact with! That's where my supersmoothie comes it, I'm feeling some cafe latte today! 🌱😋

If you're gonna do a salad then do it right - mine was covered in anchovies today. Recent research has shown that OMEGA-3 supplementation isn't effective at crossing the blood brain barrier and raising plasma levels of DHA within the brain, as opposed to OMEGA-3 obtained from real food sources. DHA & EPA (two types of OMEGA-3) have a large impact on brain and mental health. A while back I made some seed bread by @ohsheglows.  Honestly, I didn't love it so I cut it into peices and froze it.  On Monday I was trying to think of something different for breakfast when I remembered the seed bread.  Bingo!  It was the perfect thing!  I toasted a slice, spread it with seed butter and honey and it was delicious.  Yesterday I had the same thing but added 1/2 a banana.  This morning I had the same thing but added a sprinkle of cinnamon!  It's so good!! I think I am going to need to make more seed bread! Now I #loveit.

I really try hard to focus on my blessings. I am truly grateful for all I have but sometimes I feel the tears. They follow this "tingly" feeling and a heaviness that falls across my neck and shoulders.

It is the saddest, loneliest feeling ever. It makes me feel like I don't belong. It makes me feel awkward and alone. 
I stopped taking medication for depression, but lately it seems to be rearing its ugly head. I am fighting hard to overcome it. When it hits I want nothing more than to drown it out with alcohol but that is SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION.

It is hard for those who don't suffer from depression to understand it. People look at you and see that your life is good and wonder what the hell is wrong with you. But that IS depression. 
I PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AND I FAKE IT UNTIL THE FEELING PASSES...sometimes not so well...

Last night I lightly sautéed beet leaves in butter and garlic. WHOAAA. Flavor bomb! Super yummy AND NUTRITIOUS AS FUDGE. Not actual fudge. .
Anyway! Beet leaves have vitamins A, K, E, C, as well as B vitamins. They're a good source of iron, potassium, magnesium and fiber! The list goes on y'all. Next time you getcha some beets, give this a whirl. I'll never throw those beet greens away again! .
