Still breathing hard, but today’s challenge is complete. I wasn’t wanting to get up this morning, but I knew you all were.
Today, I felt Romans 5:3-5 (especially while planking) 😜: 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Does this picture make you feel relaxed? Did you know that's there is a Reason behind you being so chill and relaxed in nature?? It's called NEGATIVE IONS. We Clearly do not get enough of them. In this society, a society full of technology, cell phones, computers, Tv's, etc. we LACK Negative Ions. All these devices give off Positive Ions but there is NOTHING "positive" about it 😔 Its actually HARMING US. We get overwhelmed and irritated with too much positive ion exposure. There is an Imbalance! A Big one! Not enough Negative IONS 😩 BUT.....guess what I learned that gives off Negative Ions🤔🤔🤔🤔 MY DIFFUSER(s)!!!! AHHHHHH no wonder we get SUPER CHILL when I have it running!!! I'm bringing Balance to my home 😍 Bringing in some Nature that we Soo Need!! I love Learning and this was a pretty cool fact 😊 Start diffusing y'all! So many great benefits to bringing Nature into your home with Young Living Essential oils ❤ #OilUp#DiffuseOn

I found this online and thought it was really interesting.
Hopefully you find it helpful:
Embrace the power of "I don't." "Believe it or not, using the phrase "I don't" is up to eight times more effective than saying "I can't." It's more than twice as effective as a simple "no." The Journal of Consumer Research ran a number of studies on this difference in terminology. One of the studies split participants into three groups:
Group 1 was told that anytime they felt tempted to lapse on their goals, they should "just say no." This group was the control group, because they were given no specific strategy.
Group 2 was told that anytime they felt tempted to lapse on their goals, they should implement the "can't" strategy. For example, "I can't miss my workout today."
Group 3 was told that anytime they felt tempted to lapse on their goals, they should implement the "don't" strategy. For example, "I don't miss workouts."
Group 1 (the "just say no" group) had 3 out of 10 members stick with their goals for the entire 10 days.
Group 2 (the "can't" group) had 1 out of 10 members stick with her goal for the entire 10 days.
Group 3 (the "don't" group) had an incredible 8 out of 10 members stick with their goals for the entire 10 days.
So embrace the power of "I don't." When you're tempted to miss a workout, say to yourself, "I don't miss workouts." When you're tempted to eat a bowl of ice cream, say, "I don't eat ice cream." "Don't" is non-negotiable; "can't" implies you have a choice … and making the right choice, time after time, is really hard.
Always think in terms of "I don't." #intentionalwellness#health#wellness#consistency#mindset#idont
Finding a great group of ladies who keep my motivation cup over-flowing through out the day has been such a great blessing. Life can be hard, parenting can be hard, staying healthy can be hard. Thats why youre not suppose to go at it alone. Everyone needs a tribe!

Stop saying negative things about yourself. And don’t let anyone else do it either. You are smart. You can do this. Nothing is too hard for you. You will make it through this. You will accomplish it. God is for you and having Him alone on your side is more than the entire world against you. Through His Son Yeshua/Jesus you can do anything.
You are a child of the Almighty Elohim. You got this.
My mantra the last few weeks has been "Stay Consistant." This week the scale has not been my friend despite no changes in my meal plan or workouts.
Sometimes when we don't see the results we want it's easy to start giving up. That is when being consistant becomes vital. If you show up every day and put in the work the results will eventually come. You just have to buckle down and fight through the plateau.
What are your tips and tricks to staying consistant in your journey? Mine has been meal prep. If I suck it up and prep the food on Sunday I can stay on track throughout the week easily. I will opt for the food I already paid for and prepared rather then splurge on a craving.
In general women know that heart disease is our #1 killer. I have this conversation regularly with women that I meet. However, the real question is are women living their life knowing that heart disease is their #1 killer? Knowing and acting on knowledge are 2 different things. Prevention is a better way to live verses a life of disease stage management. #IntentionalWellness#health#healthylifestyle

I didn't start seeing consistant results with my health and fitness until I got plugged into this amazing accountability group.
I use to think Damon would hold me accountable, but let's face it, no husband is going to tell you that you need to stop eating crap and go for a run. At least mine wouldn't because he values his life.
Finding a group of woman who I check in with everyday and build me up but also give me the kick in the butt that I need has been a game changer.

Getting enough water in has been my struggle. Ideally you should be drinking half your body weight in oz of water. 💦💦
Here are some tips to help you get your aqua in:
*Buy a cute water bottle you actual like. You'll use it more.
*Fill up a pitcher in the morning of all the water you need to drink that day. It's motivating to see it go down.
*Drink 16oz of water before every meal or snack.
* Drink water through out your workout.
*Add fresh or frozen fruit for a hint of flavor.
So, what are your tips and tricks for drinking more water?
Today our preacher threw out this interesting thought:
If you can't go 24hours without alcohol then your an alcoholic.
If you can't go 24 hours without a cigarette then your addicted to nicotine.
If you can't go 24hours without saying a negative word to or about someone then you have no control over your mouth.
I challenge all of us to go 24hours using our words to only uplift and encourage everyone we are around.
One thing I've had to over come in meal planning is my tendency to have to be 'traditional'. I want your transitional breakfast foods for breakfast (lots of carbs) soup and salads have to be served with bread, fries with a burger etc. It took me awhile to be comfortable with mixing it up. Tonight we had salad and turkey burgers. It was pretty dang yummy.
Asian lettuce wraps! These are healthy, but also tasty, crunchy and fun to eat! They’re easy enough for a weeknight, but good enough for guests.
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tbsp agave or brown sugar
1 tbsp of sriracha (optional)
1-1/2 pounds lean ground turkey
1/2 cup shredded carrot
2 tablespoons minced fresh gingerroot
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chopped fresh snow peas
4 green onions, chopped
12 Bibb lettuce leaves or romaine hearts if you can’t get it
Lime wedges for garnish
Chopped cilantro for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish
Combine the first 7 ingredients and whisk to combine well. Taste and adjust the flavour to your liking.
Brown the meat in a large pan, adding the carrots when almost completely cooked.
When fully cooked, drain any liquid. Add the ginger and garlic, cooking for a minute or two, mixing through the meat.
Add the sauce, peas and green onions. Stir to coat the meat mixture fully and to heat the sauce.
To serve, put the mixture in lettuce cups, top with a squeeze of lime, cilantro, hot sauce and sesame seeds.
How busy are you?
Yesterday at bible study we talked about how being busy is addictive. I'll be the first to admit I have a serious fear of laziness and am drawn to over working myself, but it never occurred to me I may have become addicted to being busy.
Did you know they've done studies and found the temptation to be busy is harder to resist than the temptation for chocolate or sex?
That blew my mind but the scary part is that it's true. We glorify busy because if you're busy then you're important and needed. *
Anyways, we talked about our time being a gift from God. One we need to use to glorify him and not distract us from him.
I can't think of a better way to spend my time then being the best wife I can be and raising Godly children but for some reason I'm so busy doing other things that Damon and the kids usually get my left over time. *
It really opened my eyes to needing to shift around my schedule and block out uninterrupted time for God and family.
Who's with me?
“Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye; Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky”
So much tragedy and sadness in the world lately and October is always a tough month for remembering people I’ve lost. It’s easy to get caught up in it all. Today, Canada is full of sadness and loss as we remember Gord Downie.
Positive psychology teaches mindfulness, finding the silver lining and focusing on appreciating what we have before it’s gone.
When I see a rainbow, I take a moment to remember a dear friend we lost this year. Lives taken too soon are a reminder to live a full and kind life and to appreciate every day and the people in our lives.
Let the signs, songs and symbols keep people in your heart.
Do you see the signs, like dimes from heaven or 11:11s? Do you look for them?

Did you think that Health and Wellness is just 1 big choice you make? That just changing that ONE thing will make you "healthy" ?
Please just hear me out.
It is so typical to think that if we just change our diet our lives will be healthier. Will improving our diet change a lot? ABSOLUTELY... and it should be done starting today! BUT! you can eat all the organic and healthy foods your heart desires and reside in the most toxic environment of all! It is said that the air in your home is actually more toxic than the air outside 😣😭 if you ask yourself, "well how is that?" Just take a look at the plugins in your wall, all the chemical filled products under your kitchen counter, under your bathroom counter, your laudry room and sadly your kids room". The average person applies 300 chemicals a day and 80 of those 300 are before Breakfast. IT'S INSANE 😭😭😭 Breaks my heart 💔
So back to my original comment, ...it is ALL the LITTLE changes you make that Create a Healthy Environment and Mindset. Set yourself up for Success with Just 1 Change Today! Maybe one cabinet now and then another the next month.
Eating healthy, removing toxic products from your home, supporting your body naturally, etc. Now THAT IS THE OVERALL HEALTH AND WELLNESS PACKAGE 😍🤗💕 Can not truly be healthy with just doing one and not the other.
Health and wellness is more of a Journey than a destination...start small but start ❤
PS. Look at all the small changes we've made in our home 😨❤😭 My heart is FULL! This closet is used as a sports closet for my client’s three boys, not an easy space to keep organized. With my help they did a great job of decluttering and donating old and unused items. This made it possible to create open space in the closet and see what was actually in there!
5 years ago Damon and I danced to the song 'The Best is Yet to Come' at our wedding. I'd say that has been pretty accurate and will probably continue to be as well. Everyday that I spend with you gets just a little better than the last! 🎊🎉🎊
Happy 5 years, Damon!
Side Note: This is a huge anniversary for Damon. He picked our wedding date as the 13th because he wanted our anniversary to fall on Friday the 13th now and then. 😂
