#ClashofChampions turned out to be much better than expected. Here’s my review for the show: • Mojo Rawley picked up a needed win against Zack Ryder to get his push started. The crowd was very loud for being on the kickoff. Decent match. • The US Championship triple threat was a great way to start off the PPV. All three men got their spots and the crowd was loving it! The end was very surprising as I believe very few of us saw Ziggler winning a title in 2017. I’m happy for him though, and he needs this as he’s been very stale and boring since Mania. • The Tag Team Titles fatal 4-way was MOTN for me. Any match with Usos and New Day deliver tbh. I’m glad Usos retained and I’m hoping they don’t lose those championships in a while. • Next up was the Women’s Championship match, and tbh this was just a mess. They tried to get the spots in with the lumberjacks but it just got messy. I’m happy Charlotte retained but imo Carmella should’ve cashed in. I can see a Ruby Riott vs Charlotte feud getting kicked started now. • The Bludgeon Brothers vs Fandango was nothing special, in fact nothing at all. Rowan and harper picked up the win after not even 2 minutes and look to be next in line for The Usos. • Next up was Sami & KO vs Orton & Nakamura. Very decent match. Shane and DBry had some hilarious spots as guest referees and I thought the ending was well done. Now following this could we see Shane O’Mac vs Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania? • The main event was AJ Styles defending the WWE Title against Jinder Mahal... BULLSHIT! Honestly fair enough Styles retained as expected but how can you make him kick out of The Khallas AND make Jinder tap out? They made Jinder look so weak to a guy much smaller than him. Beyond disappointing. All-over that I feel like the match lacked smth, but I can’t put my finger on what.
To summarize, very decent PPV. Enjoyed almost every bit of it and this definitely made me excited for Smackdown again. I give it a rating of 7/10.
