#linkinmybio Article titled: Don't blame climate change for the #HurricaneHarvey disaster – blame society. This article is amazing! Humans are cocky, we tend to think our built #environment can withstand "Mother Nature". We have to stop using the term #NaturalDisaster . This article focuses on hurricanes but here's my example using wildfires. Forest fires are healthy. According to #CalFire "fire kills diseases and insects that prey on trees and provides valuable #nutrients that #enrich the soil. ... Fire kills #pests and keeps the forest healthy. #Vegetation that is burned by fire provides a rich source of #nutrients that nourish remaining trees". So we spend billions of tax dollars to fight fires that are good for the environment. 🤔 does that make sense? We're killing this land with these so called engineering marvels. All of the #biogeochemical cycles are being disrupted. 😰
Feliz domingo! Que tengan un buen inicio de semana 🌈🌼💐🌷🌺🌸💕 #DesafioDetoxPost18
Cucumber pops encircled with veggies, a quick vegan/vegetarian treat. Also a topical treat to your eyes and skin w/ benefits of absorbic acid and caffeic acid both which prevent water retention, which is why they're a placed on your eyes! Another added benefit of Vitamin B5, K, C and bone building manganese. #bonebuilding#vegantreats#eyehealth#hearthealth
This is it, day 7 of exactly what I eat. Swipe right to see it all. 1️⃣ Breakfast was an omelet with sweet potatoes (I also had a banana and but forgot to take a pic!). 2️⃣ A beer, yes, a beer. Just one, and it was after yard work and a light recovery jog. 3️⃣ A protein shake, apple and nuts. 4️⃣ My typical night snacks of fish oil and sauerkraut, veggies, cereal and almond milk and then pumpkin and protein with some peanut butter. ➡️ That wraps up the 7 days! Questions?...just shoot! #nutrition#nutrients#ilovefood#deliciousfood#healthyfood#athlete#theathleticway
Luteal phase 🌛
This is the final week of my luteal phase & I wanted to stock up on all the yummy foods that will supply me with the nutrients I need for the week ahead! Since this is also the first week of my cleanse (officially), there will also be a lot of R&R. 😌
To support this phase I prepared the following: •pumpkin purée
• sautéed and spiralized squash
• collars greens
• sweet potatoes (steamed and frozen for my smoothies too)
•roasted cashew pesto
For me, in order to stick to my goals and feel prepared for the week ahead I have to meal prep. I love taking @leefromamerica idea of making various bulk food items rather than preparing individual meals, that way you can switch it up! Happy Sunday lovelies! 🙌🏻 ...
With heat like this, we're keeping cooking to a minimum! Burgers on salads, gazpacho (see stories for how I made it) and a side of these AMAZING chips! We fell in love with this brand in NYC last year and were THRILLED when a client brought us back a bag recently! (PS. @jacksonshonest please come to Canada!)
Looking for an alternative to pasta? Try spaghetti squash! With a prep time of under 10 minutes and all of its added health benefits — spaghetti squash is the perfect addition to any meal. #accelerationdiet
Starting my morning with a smoothie bowl
Sachet Complete powder
Then top with your favourite topping, can be some fresh fruit, nuts, granola. I also like to pop in my premium capsules into my smoothies. This is a great idea if you don't like swallowing capsules 🍎🍌🍉🍑🍒🥒🥝🥑🥜 in a bowl
Muchos me preguntan qué Barritas de cereal es mejor comer. Entonces Compraremos : 🔸Barrita cereal mix light manzana: 1 unidad aporta : 63 calorías. 16 gr de hidratos (3 gr de azúcares), 0,7 gr de proteínas , 0,6 gr de grasas ,3,2 gr de fibra , 22 mg de sodio --
🔹 Barrita cereal mix de frutilla y yogur:
96 calorías , 15,6 gr de hidratos , 1,4 gr de proteínas , 3,12 gr de grasas , 42 mg de sodio .- -
🔺 Barrita de cereal ser: 67 calorías, 15 gr de hidratos , 1 gr de proteínas , 1,5 gr de grasas, 3,2 gr de fibra, 37 mg de sodio ,.- -
▪️ Barrita de chocolate cereal mix: 95 calorías , 14 gr de hidratos , 1,5 gr de proteínas , 3,5 gr de grasas , 1 gr de fibra y 27 mg de sodio . --------------------------------------------
------------------------------
How are you staying cool today?
This heat makes moving hard, but I am forever grateful for my amazing super food shake!
It cooled me down, filled me up and gave me the nutrients and energy I needed.
Chocolate, vanilla swirl with banana is my life saver😍😍
weird habit of mine: i always need something sweet after my meal🙃 i know it's a bad habit but i try to make more healthier decision so went to @pressedjuicery after i had some tacos🌮😂this icecream is made with real food and fruits, no artificial sugar😋 and it still taste amazing!! Had matcha + vanilla flavor with cacao drizzle, almond butter & pineapple for my toppings.
I added pineapple because there's an enzyme in it that helps us digest better after a meal🙆🏻
Feels strange to be eating this so early but when you start work at 5 you need the fuel. Keeping it basic this week with brown rice, chicken and broccoli yum 👌🏻I hope everyone prepped yesterday for their week. Especially with the daylight saving change- seems to effect people first few days.
A little chicken spinach salad with cranberry goat cheese and strawberries. A week postpartum already and man are there a ton of adjustments. I am constantly hungry! Not worrying too much about what I eat but trying to make sure I do get nutrients daily to help take care of myself and pass them on to my little one! Now on to some yogurt covered pretzels and macarons! 😉
Happy Sunday!🌸 my day today includes cleaning, doing laundry, meal planning/meal prepping and house hunting! I love sundays because it gives me a whole day to get the rest of my week planned out- which gives me no excuse to fall off throughout the week. Ready to get back on my strict macros tomorrow. I'll be starting at 170p/300c/65f. Ready to make some lean gains. Also ready to start paying more attention to micronutrients with the help of @1stphorm supps #microfactor daily nutrient packs!
What do y'all do on sundays to make sure you stick with your fitness goals during the week??🥇
The health benefits of pomegranates are innumerable and what makes them special is that apart from being healthy, pomegranates are delicious too. Pomegranates have anti-oxidant, anti-viral and anti-tumor properties and are said to be a good source of vitamins, especially vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, as well as folic acid. This amazing fruit consists of three times as many antioxidants as both wine or green tea. Wondering what pomegranates are good for? They are useful in maintaining effective and healthy blood circulation, that several doctors suggest eating pomegranates to regain your strength after a long illness. Pomegranates have been traditionally used for clearing up the skin and reducing inflammation as well as for the treatment of sore throats. Other health benefits include being a great cure for heart-related problems, stomach disorders, cancer, dental problems, osteoarthritis, anemia, and diabetes. .
CELERY JUICE is a very efficient, simple and the best way to restore your health in the digestive tract⚘. My husband🚶♂️ and I🚶♀️ start every morning with 1 glass of celery juice for 8 weeks now🌺. Just pure celery, no other ingredients. Drink the juice immediately or it will oxidize and reduce the effect. Usally we wait for 15 minutes before we eat any other food🍴. Celery strengthens the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. It rebuilds the stomach's supply of hydrochloric acid, which strengthens the digestive system. And with time the minerals salts, minerals and nutrients have a unique ability to completely restore the body's hydrochloric axid content🌸. My husband🚶♂️ has noticed a big difference in the digestion after a short time with celery juice every morning🌼. Try for 1 month to see if it helps you to a better health🌻. Reiki: If digestions is not good in our body it will cause imbalance in our chakras, which is our energy center.🦋
FACE MASKS? ✔️or✖️
I find face-masks are a bit divisive. Either they are part of your weekly routine, or you think they're a bit of nonsense. Where do you stand? I hoped to bring you a detailed post tonight, summing up the pros/cons for our skin with some evidence based knowledge. Buuuut, the weekend has ran away with me (anyone else?!). So instead I'm doing some DIY research, with a sample size of one, and digging out one of the many face-masks that have collected at the back of my bathroom cabinet. I have a feeling it may do more for mental health and emotional wellbeing to soak in a hot tub and switch off for ten minutes. What do you think? If you are a fan, let me know your favourites. A good one must be up there as a treaty stocking filler (did I just day that...in September?!😱😂) 📷: Charlotte Kibbles #runthebath#maskmeup#themodeldoctor
