After my late night last night and lack of sleep getting my energy boosted with this amazing shake 😍 I love my shake because it breaks the diet cycle that many of us fall into. You know when you start a new diet with loads of motivation, cutting your favourite food out, you feel positive, committed, determined, then by the end of the week your body starts craving sugar and carbs, you start craving all your favourite food that you think you cant have, you want that glass of wine/pint/etc that helps you wind down, by the weekend your tired, grumpy and hangry! Yep weve all been there! Then you weigh yourself and are disappointed in the number on the scales or your delighted in the number.. so you either give up and think sod it or you think yeaahh im going to reward myself... with food and drink! Then you feel food guilt! If your feeling crap then you just wont stick to it! We end up becoming a yo yo dieter! Am I going to lie and say it's been easy? Well far from it. I've been hungry and I'm human so some days it's been a mental battle to draw in the same focus as energy seems to be all over the place

Yes I have a clear plan for next year but where I see most going wrong post an aggressive diet is not giving themselves a diet break or even slowly increasing their calories by 200-300 per week to get them back to normal, make sure you keep track of your weight, as you don't need to be putting on a crazy amount back on - remember you're not going to lose that in a week, why would you try putting it on?

This again isn't a sustainable look for me or a mental state of mind, as it takes a lot out of me. Have I been the easiest to deal with? Well probably not and have been a bit of a grumpy bugger with some of the closest people around me

Like I tell people over and over, DO NOT go into a diet, which is extreme, If you're not physically or emotionally ready as in the long term it will just cause more harm to you

Business is my main priority now which has kept my mind busy but it's hard dealing with the energy and lack of sleep, yes most days I could 'pig out' but that will cause a spiral of things happening which will leave me in a worse state

A piece of advice I'd give to someone thinking of competing - make sure you've given yourself enough time and please ONLY do this if you really want to and winning a shiny medal WONT make you a better coach or person. I generally love the whole process and training, which is why I do it. It's my hobby and passion

One very simple change any of us can make is to restrict our eating window to allow 14-16 hours of non-eating time. Sounds scarier than it is really. If you eat your dinner at 6pm then you just delay your breakfast a little until 10am the next day. The benefits are great & evident almost immediately. One very simple change any of us can make is to restrict our eating window to allow 14-16 hours of non-eating time. Sounds scarier than it is really. Went #tropical and made coconut chia pudding with mango, pineapple and persimmon protein nicecream topped with all sorts of goodness including spirulina powder to add little bit more  goodness to already #wholesome and #nutrients packed bowl 😍👌🏼

Coconut chia pudding:-
2tbsp @thechiaco chia seeds
Half a can @coconutmerchant coconut milk
Few @nicks_uk natural flavour stevia drops.
Mix and stab in fridge for at least an hour.
Tropical #nicecream :-
2 free range egg whites
1 scoop @nrgfuel vanilla #wheyisolate 
Handful frozen pineapple, mango and persimmon chunks
Blend everything until creamy.
Now grab a bowl, and put all in it. Top with #spirulina powder , @meridianfoods #cashewbutter and other toppings you love 😘🤤 perfect treat 😁

Another good tip is pin pointing ur triggers or barriers e.g. if lack of sleep makes u crave sugar, try to get to bed earlier, if drinking alcohol makes you eat rubbish the next day, maybe change every second drink to water, or the next day go against what your brain is telling u & have a fresh juice & some nuts or a protein rich salad to counteract the alcohol, u might even find having something healthy stops those cravings, as eat fruit sugar only perpetuates them! #healthydiet

Good morning world...good morning #saturday ⛅️🌥 woke up to typical mid November grey skies... so decided to make some colour and sunshine in my bowl for #breakfast 😁
Went #tropical and made coconut chia pudding with mango, pineapple and persimmon protein nicecream topped with all sorts of goodness including spirulina powder to add little bit more  goodness to already #wholesome and #nutrients packed bowl 😍👌🏼

Coconut chia pudding:-
2tbsp @thechiaco chia seeds
Half a can @coconutmerchant coconut milk
Few @nicks_uk natural flavour stevia drops.
Mix and stab in fridge for at least an hour.
Tropical #nicecream :-
2 free range egg whites
1 scoop @nrgfuel vanilla #wheyisolate 
Handful frozen pineapple, mango and persimmon chunks
Blend everything until creamy.
Now grab a bowl, and put all in it. Top with #spirulina powder , @meridianfoods #cashewbutter and other toppings you love 😘🤤 perfect treat 😁
