I’m 99% sure it’s impossible to survive motherhood without a hefty stash of dry shampoo. Please tell me I’m not alone in that 🙋🏼♀️
But have you read the labels? Yiiiiikes! Needless to say I was pumped to find a super easy diy replacement for it, AND I had all the ingredients on hand already!
(for dark hair)
To a 4oz mason jar...
+ 1/4 cup cocoa powder
+ 2-3 Tbsp arrowroot powder
+ 3”-4 drops peppermint essential oil
Mix together and use a makeup brush to apply on roots of hair when needed.
For lighter hair you could eliminate the cocoa and just use arrowroot powder.
For red hair you could try cinnamon instead of cocoa.
And you can sub whatever oil you prefer! Let me know if you try it!

Did you know that 80% of New Years Resolutions fail by February? That’s because we set these huge goals for ourselves in order to achieve this ‘New Year, New You’ idea. Well at #IDLife , we want to encourage everyone to take small, simple steps to being a better you. The first step is knowing you are good enough and you are capable! •
Personal responsibility. It's a tough skill. Being able to take full responsibility for your actions can be painstaking. It might be our initial reaction to defend ourselves and to pick out the "true" culprit in the story. But sometimes you just have to suck it up, and say...I was wrong; I screwed up. Being able to take one on the chin is a much better quality than being able to "excuse" your way out of things. And if we are being really honest, most people see right through those excuses no matter how good they are. We just have to suck it up, be honest, and be reflective on what our role is in a situation. But at the end of the day, it's going to feel so much better to be transparent and honest than defensive and deceitful. And when you pop the hooks on that underwire of a situation, it's going to feel so freeing. #tuesdaytruth Photo by @plumportraitsnewburgh Hair by @jschmitt7 Makeup by @daciasview Styling by @hangedmancollective
How To Care For Your Christmas Tree:⠀
A Christmas tree is a living thing and takes the same care as any house plant. Once you select a Christmas tree, follow these suggestions to keep it fresh and safe:⠀
1. If you buy your tree several days before you plan to set it up, store the tree outdoors or on a cool porch or patio until you are ready to decorate. An area that provides protection from the wind and sun will help the tree retain its moisture.⠀
2. If you plan to store the tree for several days, make a straight cut across the butt end of the tree about one inch from the end. This opens the tree stem so it can take up water. Store the tree upright and place the butt end in a container of water.⠀
3. When you bring the tree into the house for decorating, make another fresh cut across the trunk about an inch from the original cut. Use a tree stand that holds plenty of water.⠀
4. Trees are thirsty. They may drink up to four litres of water per day, so be sure to check daily and supply fresh water as needed. A stand which holds at least four litres of water is recommended. If you allow the water level to drop below the bottom of the tree, a seal will form just as it does on a cut flower, and a new cut will be necessary.⠀
5. Place your tree away from fireplaces, radiators, television sets and other sources of heat. Turn off the tree lights when you leave and before you retire at night.⠀
6. Avoid the use of combustible decorations. Check all electric lights and connections. Do not use lights with worn or frayed cords and N-E-V-E-R use lighted candles on a Christmas tree.⠀
Following these care and precaution measures should ensure an attractive tree that stays fresh indoors for two to three weeks. ⠀
💪How to actually get a flatter stomach and Toner arms 💪
Really what this question comes down to is “ How do I loose fat from my problem area, and or make my problem area look leaner (more muscle than fat)”
Here are 3 simple things to make sure you focus on for success.
1️⃣ Make sure you’re including exercises that work your larger muscle groups. Don’t just focus on the one area you want to “tone” the goal is to raise your metabolism and build muscle, not waste a bunch of time fatiguing out smaller muscles to feel the 🔥.
2️⃣Focus your attention on using exercises that challenge your abilities. I promise you won’t get bulky. This doesn’t even need to be heavy weight, if push ups or pull ups are challenging for you, great start there. .
❌Don’t buy the hype that you can simply do of bunch of lighter weight million reps exercises to get toned . This might be helpful for other valid purposes, but not for fat loss and “toning”. .
3️⃣This might be better off as number 1, but don’t neglect your nutrition habits. What you eat is going to far outweigh how intense your workout was for fat loss and getting lean. It doesn’t need to be an all or nothing game either. Make simple changes you can manage that move you towards healthier overall eating and portions. (Everybody’s got to live a little) .
4️⃣(bonus) Avoid cleanses, wraps, and any crazy thing that seems to good to be true and quick fixy. 🤦🏻♂️That’s pretty much all I am going to say on that one. Seriously though... just don’t .
