Lay flush against Mother Earth, Elongate the Spine, Heavy bones, Melting Muscles, Ascend arm & leg bones up to the Milky Way, Slight bend in the Knees, Relax fingertips & toes allow them to drip towards the Earth, Soften Skin, Smooth the Face, Slow the Breath, & STEEP, hold the Intention f releasing all that no longer serves you from the day—processing, digesting, and recalibration all of yourself, all of your cells. 🙏
Understanding Thoughts Part II 🤔
Thoughts are our minds way of linking new and learned information together to form our perceptions, beliefs and opinions about the world around us. At this point in history we as a collective species have minimal control of our thoughts because of how we have been conditioned and mislead to understand the power of our minds. 🤯
Thoughts are creative and can shift our moods, attitude, emotions, outlook, drive, experiences and realities. Imagine you find out your favorite person might come home for the holidays, the mere thought of seeing them, talking to them or even hugging them sparks fireworks within you. You could've been having a "bad day" prior to having these thoughts but now you are excited, happy, even nicer to everyone around you.🧘🏼♀️
Thoughts that become repetitive whether consciously or unconsciously are the driving force behind our emotions and our state of being. If you had an argument or less than pleasant incident, chances are that you replay it over and over in your mind making you feel worse and worse. This can sometimes feel uncontrollable, but with the use of simple mindfulness tips and techniques we can choose what thoughts we feed and ultimately the life we lead. 🌎

My heart is full. This time last year I had just met @carol.ibex And @amandajenx And started teaching @foundationsislandyoga
I averaged 1-2 people per class.
After a packed vinyasa flow this morning, I have to say that of all the things I’m thankful for, this yoga family nears the top of my list. @foundationsislandyoga is a place to grow, expand your limits and make amazing friends. Understanding Emotions Part I 🤬
We are emotional beings and should all have full awareness as to why and how emotions work within, throughout, & around us. There is an emotional epidemic happening around the world where emotional imbalance and ignorance is reeking havoc on peoples work, friendships, relationships, schooling, passions, homes, self worth, and in general --day to day lifestyles. 🤯
We are meant to feel emotions as a form of inner guidance and feedback to our experiences, not suffer because we can't control them. Gaining mindfulness and learning the ins and outs of our feelings and emotions can be the catalyst to regaining balance and flow in all areas of our lives. Long term avoidance and neglect to our emotions can create harsh lessons and contribute to health issues. 👁
With the help of Mama Cacao ( Medicinal Chocolate) we will be opening our hearts and exploring the tools and techniques needed to shift, manage & understand our emotions. Part II will be "Understanding Thoughts" held on December 15th from 6-8pm learn more on next post! 🕊

Mindfulness is to give ourselves, students, and children the skills to develop their awareness of inner and outer experiences, to recognize their thoughts are just thoughts, to understand how emotions manifest, to recognize when are attention wanders, and to provide tools for impulsive behavior.🌎
It should never be forced or used as punishment--but brought into our classrooms & homes with compassion and understanding to allow all to evolve & grow into their greatest potential, to balance their health & wellbeing, and to get to know themselves --how they tick, how they tock, and how to respond with a mindful matter to all of lives challenges for all levels of our growth. This workshop will be set up in two parts. Understanding Emotions & Understanding Thoughts. These workshops will give you the understanding, tools, and techniques to begin living mindfully. 🕊

A big problem I have in acro is not trusting my body, my progress, and my built up abilities when it comes to new moves. I immediately believe something is out of my reach, I need to rely on a spotter, or I’m not ‘good’ enough for it. I am lucky to have a loving partner who honestly assesses where I’m at and says “excuse me, you absolutely can do this” and then something like this happens.
My honeymoon is going absolutely wonderfully. Lots of kisses, lots of acro, and lots of applause from happy onlookers.
Even more in love with my husband, and I didn’t know that was possible.

It's not that happy people are grateful; grateful people are happy. Focus on the things you're grateful for everyday not just one day of the year. Even when something happens that makes you upset, focus on all you have to be grateful for instead of focusing on the thing that upset you.
