Discover Havasupai Falls, Arizona, USA with @kevinboutwell.
Havasupai Falls in Arizona is a major destination for hikers who want to visit this blue green waterfall oasis. Getting to the falls is no cake walk, though. Hidden in the Grand Canyon, the hike to the falls is about 8 miles long - each way - and it is quite difficult to get reservations for, as it is a protected natural reserve. #thediscoverer
Discover Svolvær, Norway with @wildbonde.
"I hiked up to get a closer look of the two towers and realized there was a guy who had climbed to the top. I sat and enjoyed the view and saw him sizing up the gap. I frantically got my camera out and dialed in the settings just before he made the leap of faith. For a few fleeting moments my mind raced trying to recap all my first aid training, but luckily he made it safely to the other side and I was left with this shot as a memory." #thediscoverer
Even when they can’t go as far anymore, take your dog hiking 🌲
"We need the tonic of wilderness... At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature."- Henry David Thoroeau, Walden
“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world” - Gustave Flaubert
I love this quote because it is so true regardless if you are on top of a mountain or in a crowded city far, far away from home Travel completely changes your perspective on life. I feel so lucky to experience it.
A view of Stockholm ❤️ Those rooftops, the steeples, the water views, the charm. This city captured my heart 9 years ago when I first moved here. Though I rarely get into the city these days, I still am charmed by the beauty of this city when I see these views.
Day 2 in Chiang Mai
Today Kevin Scott and I checked into our resort where we will be staying until Saturday. It's about 40 minutes away from the downtown area, in the hills of Thailand. Beautiful grounds and a very relaxing environment.
After we got settled into our room, we hung out at the pool, which we had to ourselves, then got a $10 1 our Thai message! Other than hanging out and reading, we didn't do much today. It was a nice change of pace.
The weather has been perfect, 80's with a breeze and no humidity! Looking forward to hiking tomorrow and hitting up the Sunday night street market.
They call The Peninsula Hong Kong the "Grand Dame of the Far East" but its indoor pool and Peninsula Academy offerings are a few of the things that make it one of Hong Kong's most family-friendly luxury hotels.
