Blessed to be feeling better today...physically, mentally, and SPIRITUALLY.
I decided to switch up my fitness program for the next few weeks. I realized last week that my body needed a restart so after light workouts and eating more carbs and sugar in 5 days than I have in the last 5 months...heck may even be more than the 3 years...I am ready for a fresh start today.
No better way to "start over" than from where it all began...doing the program that helped me lose 20+lbs and realize that taking care of my health couldn't be an after thought any longer...it must be a priority.
I was pretty amazed though to see that 3 years ago I was using 3lb weights abs today I rocked it with my 12lb weights.
New Monday, New Start.
Day 1 of Chisel!! The countdown to 80 day obsession is on and I'm so excited for its release!! We are creatures of habit and love to stay in our comfort zone but when our bodies get comfortable we hit plateaus. Change it up, once you finish one program try something new that you've never tried before, take steps to be the best version of you!!!
So...decided to start leaving even earlier for work so that I could add Autumns 21 Day Fix Abs (DAILY) to my BodyBeast workouts. Got to my weight room at school and apparently, it was too early for the building to even be open. Bummed but determined and committed to getting this body in shape, I went back to my room, and thanks to BB on demand, I put Autumn on my whiteboard via AppleTV and BAM, got my daily 10 minute Abs Done in my room (pic on left). By that time, the field house was open and I pulled out the iPad and once again, thanks to BB On Demand, got my BodyBeast workout done, showered, dressed and ready to make music with students until 7:30 tonight. I'm BACK, bitches! 🙌 •Spent the first half of last week celebrating my birthday then the last half being sick 🤒 •I started to feel better by Friday, so I dialed my nutrition back in. 🍉🍎🍏 •I gave my body until today to recover before restarting #21dayfixextreme 🏋️♀️ ••moral of the story: LIFE happens but you can't let a few days turn into a few weeks, into a few months... What you say: "I don't have enough time to workout."
What it really means: "I don't want to make time to workout. It's not a priority."
We're all busy. We all have the same 24 hours in a day and we all choose how we spend them. My challenge for you today is to really keep track of your time. Can you carve out 30 minutes ANYWHERE to get a workout in?
Do you push the snooze button 2, 3, 4 times in the morning? No more snooze.
Do you find yourself scrolling through Facebook and Instagram mindlessly when you get home from work? Keep your phone out of reach until you get it done.
Do you get sucked into a television show marathon and wonder where the last 4 hours of your life went? Workout THEN binge.
When you really think about it, I bet you'll be able to find the time after all. But only if you want to. .

Just because I help other men and women with their health and fitness goals does not mean I know everything and that I don't have to recheck myself too!
After trying many programs ( 21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, core de Force, insanity max 30, T25, Shaun week, shift shop, and fandoms videos in other programs) we have gone back to 21 day fix extreme!
Today was day 1, we got up early got our workout in before the kids got up for school, this is a routine that works for us, I say "us" because I'm never alone, my fiancé works out with me everyday!
But before breakfast I had to sit down and reread what was on my meal plan for the next 21 days, don't ever think "you know everything" always check and reread to make sure your prepared!

Monday morning workout done ✔️ I'm starting back with light weights and keeping it low impact still. I'm 3 and a half weeks post partum and feeling really good, I feel ready to sweat again! This mornings workout was a 30 minute total body cardio workout, I did the modifications where I needed to 👍🏻

✅Today's workout was a special sneak peek of 80 Day Obsession led in person by the creator - Beachbody Super Trainer @autumncalabrese! The workout program doesn't release until January 15th, exclusively on Beachbody On Demand, so I had to shut down my camera because it's still top secret!!🙈🙉🙊But believe me when I say you'll want to get in board with this program come January! It's not for beginners though - you'll need a good base of fitness to do it, and it's 80 days of commitment to the workouts, 6 days a week and to the portion control and timed eating plan.

And just like that or year of maternity leave is gone. I am so fortunate to live in a country and have a job that even makes it possible to be at home to raise my babies for that long. So many emotions the past few weeks. It's been as though I've been stuck in this purgatory of trying to enjoy my time off, yet having this day just looming over my head. Worried about what back to work will look like for my family, sad about the times I won't be able to spend with my kiddos, the list truly goes on and on. And with that list came a few too many indulgences... leaving me feeling like the pilsbury dough girl and sporting some uncomfortably snug work pants 😂. Ah well, you live and learn, and move on and find a routine in the new "normal". So now it's off to bed after having pushed play on @autumncalabrese BOD exclusive, kill Cupcake, in and effort to kill this muffin top 😜
Wish me luck as I enter this crazy, working mom of four kids, chapter of life!
