I will let you in on a little secret, I despise cardio. I could feel my internal eye roll starting yesterday just thinking that I had to do my cardio day. Well, this morning I hit snooze. I woke up with these mysterious fall sniffles and decided my body needed some more rest. I rearranged my morning and still fit it in after my morning walk. TBH it wasn't too bad. I was stronger this week with my sniffles than last week. I was able to check in with my long distant bestie for accountability and support. My body also felt better after it was done.

• ½ cup all-natural peanut butter⠀
• ¼ cup raw honey⠀
• 1 tsp . pure vanilla extract⠀
• 3 Tbsp . chia seeds⠀
• 3 Tbsp . raw pumpkin seeds⠀
• 2 Tbsp . unsweetened shredded coconut⠀
• ½ cup quick-cooking rolled oats⠀
• ¼ cup dried fruit (like unsweetened cranberries, unsweetened cherries, raisins, or apricots)⠀
• ½ cup Vanilla Shakeology⠀
How to Make: ⠀
1. Place peanut butter and honey in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 100% for 20 seconds; mix well with clean hands (or a rubber spatula).⠀
2. Add extract, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut, oats, dried fruit, and Shakeology; mix well with clean hands (or a rubber spatula).⠀
3. Roll mixture into eight large balls, each about 2-inches in size.⠀
4. Flatten each slightly so that it is shaped like a traditional cookie.⠀
5. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.⠀

It’s Woman Crush Wednesday. I normally brag on somebody else….an overcomer, achiever, strong mama, driven, result seer, goal digger…but today I’m gonna take a few minutes to brag on myself.
Last week my family dealt with the passing of my Uncle. While at services and meeting with family we exchanged old family photos and reminisced. Going through the files, I came across this photo on the left that was taken in 1995. I was almost 12. My first thought – Yikes! lol That was a LONG time ago, but I remember that girl like it was yesterday.
Obviously I was the awkward girl…untamed curly hair, braces, unsure of herself, people pleasing, self-conscious, shy. I remember being teased and criticized for things I liked or what I wore; basically just being me. I know most, if not all kids, go through this stage, but I’m pretty sure my “awkward phase” lasted for a good 5 years.
Today, I see the woman on the right. The girl on the left is still inside of her, but she’s no longer afraid, or unsure of her capabilities. She is no longer shy of voicing her opinion or speaking up for what she believes in. She’s confident in her faith in God, she believes in herself and is comfortable in her own skin like never before. It’s a freedom I’ve never had until now.
I still like the same things. I still hold many of the same values, but I’m ME and I don’t care if you like it or not. I used to care so much about what others thought. I used to do more for people around me than I did for myself. No more. I’m taking care of ME now.
💦WEDNESDAY SWEAT💦 A little metabolic circuit to finish off my booty workout earlier today. After hip thrusting, frog pumping and all the rest of it I wrapped up my 🍑workout in a quick, intense and sweaty manner. I headed to the gym studio and all I used was a reebok step and my own body weight:
1. Burpees 40 seconds
2. Alternating deficit reverse lunges 40 seconds
3. Box hops 40 seconds
4. Lateral step jumps 40 seconds
In a circuit for 4 rounds with no rest in between rounds. I used my timer and set it up this way to avoid rests. It all added to under 11 minutes of real sweat. Workout completed ✅
It always feels sooo amazing after getting results. My week one progress photos have shown me I CAN fight that troublesome belly fat if I stick to it! 😍
Belly fat has always been my biggest insecurity 🙈🤢 I've lost many pounds and inches from the tummy, but still not where I want to be, and that's okay! Fitness is a JOURNEY 🌍 not destination 🛑
I'm SO glad I chose to take on the challenge of transforming my life! Sure I've lost a ton of weight, but I've also gained so much confidence in myself and LOVE and appreciation for life😇❤ Just 2 years ago you would never have heard me say I love my life. I just wish I knew about this life-changing information during my toughest days!
