I love cooking! but yah know what... I didn’t always. I wasn’t very good at it. I didn’t know what flavours went together. I didn’t know how long to cook things, especially meat. Well it didn’t happen over night... many dins at my bfs fam’s place, the Food Network (lots Triple D 🤤🙈 @guyfieri ), many fancy/not fancy dinners out to foodie spots, going to the farmers market on the reg & having a huge desire to eat legit’ly tasty af food that also supports my health & longevity 👈🏼all of this has slowly but sure shaped my food skillz🤷🏻♀️ you could say!
En-ee who all I’m trying to get at it is doesn’t happen over night, inspiration helps & a strong want to be healthy while also wanting to enjoy your food helps too, oh and quality ingredients, they help too 😌 it’s a process that definitely requires you putting in the time INITIALLY, buuuut eventually it can become second nature, case in point 👉🙋🏻♀️

Last week, I didn't link the unprecedented inflammation I had in my legs to the decrease of my cognitive function. It's only when I read the Head Strong chapter about inflammation that I realised that.

Still 4.0 mmol after my 6day Fast. High egg yolk omelette with mustard greens, parsley, and cilantro, mushrooms and emmentaler cheese. All for the microbiome and refeeding to stay in ketosis. And lamb chops not pictured cooked in goat milk ghee. And salt. .
In my previous +5 day Fasts, I’ve been able to still produce high ketones. I wonder if this is common. .

Behind this beautiful family photo is quite a bit of struggle. One of the twins appears to have gone sour. I really don't understand what is going on and this "phase" has seemed to last much, much longer than I was expecting. The improvement I see is actually very minimal dispite my efforts and changes of tactics.
Jaxon is EXTREMELY disrespectful, sarcastic and down right mean at times. He is in a good mood about 30% of the time and the rest is really hard on me and his brothers. He has started sneaking, lying and hitting. All the things I used to think only the other "bad" parents had to endure.
There was a point that I was so confused that I actually went through a period of reverting to spanking. That definitely made everything 10 times worse! No matter how calm and matter of fact I was, the physical nature of it did absolutely nothing but worsen every single situation 10 fold. I would have had to break his spirit to get him to "behave". So one day I told him I wouldn't do it anymore and I stopped.
My current tactic and the one that resonates with me and feels right is ignoring the "attacks". He will stand around and say the most foul and hurtful things to me and I will connect to my breath. I will remind myself that he is hurting and operating from pain and I will breathe. When I focus on my breath I have noticed that I can completely prevent my animal brain from getting activated. I don't have to operate from those powerful fight or flight instincts anymore. I am seriously becoming a zen master! It has proven to be by far my most useful tool for all of my life. You have GOT to try this!
I have been working on teaching it to the boys and Jesse has began implimenting it. He explodes way less often and I notice he has much more calmness and peace. I will see him stand completely still, nothing but the rise and fall of his chest and I am the proudest mom in that moment. So excited that he found this tool so early on! It's like a secret that has the power to improve every single aspect of our lives.

My neck, my back, my knee & my lats- what are...things that are hurting right now? Since slathering this on my neck last night before bed, it helped my neck pain by at least 75%.
