What the researchers discovered was that the Ashwagandha group experienced a major performance boost in maximal aerobic capacity, respiratory exchange ratio and total time to exhaustion compared to the placebo group. This is pretty exciting research!

Gestern bei dem schönen Wetter haben @marie_backt und ich uns auf die @nextbike_de Räder geschwungen und sind spontan zum Kulkwitzer See geradelt. Dort haben wir ein tägliches Szenario in seiner vollen Pracht verfolgt: den Sonnenuntergang.

Je später der Tag, desto mehr nimmt der Blaulichtanteil im sichtbaren Licht ab. Hinzu kommt das Infrarotlicht, welches auch ua. die Färbung der Sonne beiträgt. Im besten Falle steigt zeitgleich unser Melatonin (Schlafhormon) im Körper und Stresshormone werden reduziert (zum Beispiel Cortisol). Wenn die Sonne hinter dem Horizont verschwunden ist, bedeutet das für uns eigentlich "ab ins Bett". Feuer wäre eine natürliche Quelle, welche auch ein ähnliches Lichtspektrum wie die untergehende Sonne besitzt. Glühlampen hat man uns ja bereits genommen. Halogen werden wohl die nächsten sein und dann bleiben uns wohl ober übelst nur noch flackernde LED's, welche unseren Hormonhaushalt negativ beeinflussen.

Zwei Varianten haben wir: meiden oder schützen.

Meiden: eliminiere jegliche Kunstlichteinflüsse in deiner Umgebung.

Schützen: ab Sonnenuntergang eine Blueblockerbrille verwenden (selber verwende ich eine von Prisma und die Terminator UV 400), F.Lux am PC installieren, Twilight bei Android oder den Blaulichtfilter aktivieren und bei Apple Night Shift verwenden. Auch die Haut entsprechen bei Kunstlicht schützen,wm weil unser Biorhythmus nicht nur über die Augen, sondern auch über unsere Haut getriggert wird.

“We (as in all humans on earth) don’t get enough protein in our diets (as in-its impossible)”- this is one of my least favorite things to hear 🙈 The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for protein is 0.8 grams per kilogram. This is how much protein you need to consume to be regarded as HEALTHY (to meet your basic nutritional requirements) So for example an 80kg man would need to eat 64g of protein a day (0.8g x 80kg) obviously if you’re trying to gain quite a bit of muscle or you’re doing a lot of exercise you’ll need to eat more than that. In a standard chicken breast (100g) there is 31g of protein (on average), in 100g of broccoli there are 2.8g of protein. So if this man ate 2 chicken breasts and 100g of broccoli - he would reach his daily goal of 64g of protein in one meal, he should eat more than one meal a day. (How basic? And easy?) If you don’t get enough protein in your diet you need to take another look at your diet.
-is there protein in your bag of chips? -is there protein in your doughnuts?
-is there protein in your sweets and sugary treats?
-is there protein in your fast food?
- is this protein high quality?
(The answer to the questions above = PROBS NOT🙅🏻)
- are the foods you’re eating majority unhealthy fats and carbs?
-do you eat one poorly nutritious meal a day?
If you’re eating majority processed foods with high carbs and high fats or you’re eating one meal a day- you’re probably not getting enough protein in your diet but that’s your choice. If you choose to get your calories in by Whole Foods, unprocessed foods, good quality lean meats, legumes, leafy veg, whole grains you’re going to get enough protein. Studies show you can get more than enough protein even on a whole plant based diet (vegan diet). You have full control of what to put into your body and you actually have a whole lot MORE CONTROL of what your BODY looks like and your HEALTH than you think you do ❤️ #notallcaloriesareequal #fuelyourbodyright
