The Irish coastline in winter is a thing of beauty. The beaches are quiet and the weather is dramatic. It lives in shades of grey. I only wish I could stash a hot water bottle in my coat for days like today!⠀
I hope you like my #gloomandglow homework, what do you think? ⠀

Fingal's Cave on the uninhabited Isle of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.
We visited with miniscule hopes of seeing puffins. It was very early in the season and there were none, probably just a few days off from when the first would start arriving.
Disappointed but it was a still a pretty fun day. Swells were rather big and it was quite thrilling when the captain of the small ferry we were on made a the quick approach to let us off before moving off immediately to wait in the deeper waters while we explored the island.
