Day 26|28 of the Magic
The magic wand...
1️⃣count your blessings, write down your 10 gratitudes, focusing on what and why you are grateful. Read through your list and say thank you x3 after each one
2️⃣choose 3 people you care about and would like to help with more health, wealth or happiness or all 3. If you have a picture of this person have it in front of you while doing the magic wand practice. Take one person at a time, close your eyes and for a minuet visualise the persons health, wealth or happiness has been fully restored and you’re receiving this news. Open your eyes, look at the picture and say thank you x3 for (name the person’s) health, wealth or happiness. Once you have completed this, do the same process for the other 2 people.
3️⃣ before you go to sleep, focus on the BEST thing that happened today holding your gratitude rock and say thank you!
i’ve wanted to start posting an mcm every monday [as in mid-century modern 🤙🏼] so after i forgot again this week, i figured i’ll post this photo of the stahl house by pierre koenig—because it’s been a lifetime #mcm — and it’ll hopefully get the ball rolling~ as many of you know, architecture & interior design have been my biggest inspirations these days (well, kinda always) 👩🏻🎨 stay tuned xo
Simplify and re-compose
Sometimes, to see the texture of life, you have to simplify and shift the composition of your perspective in order to see the details, without losing sight of the fluidity of the beauty that surrounds it. .
HAPPY Friiiiiday you guys! Hey San Fran! I see you 😘 on to new adventures you guys..love creating!! .
Day 18 Be faithful and consistent in the development of your relationship with God.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
Don't stop! Don't quit! From this day forward make a decision to commit to God fully! You can do it! This is something you should pray for everyday to continue growing in worship and learning more about God. When we seek the Bible says we will find when we ask He will answer and when we knock the door will be open to us!
Today is the day right now is the best time to start because it's over due! God's unconditional love for us demands our unconditional worship to Him! Revel in that truth beloved love learning about worshiping the greatest person in existence our lord and savior Jesus Christ!
Now that you have completed this 18 day devotional I pray that "The Lord bless you
and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
You have to want to succeed, you have to want to win. You have to want it so badly that you become unstoppable. When you adopt the mindset that you have to win, you have to learn and you have to grow, you simply can't lose, because losing becomes unacceptable.
When I was first starting out with handlettering, I would have bouts of excitement & inspiration, & then I’d see more experienced artist’s work & I’d quickly give up. Some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten was from my friend @brengorton when I was struggling especially because I was jealous of her work too 😏 — she told me that handlettering is a LEARNED art. I remember she showed me some of her work from just a year earlier so I could see how much she had improved. She told me she would just buy notebooks and write in them over & over in cursive to perfect her handwriting. She told me she really believed anyone could learn it, if you dedicate yourself to practice. I think about those words often, even today, & have passed her advice along to whoever I can. So here’s a watercolor I did 3 years ago after I heard this song on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy (LOLz) that I thought was SO amazing at the time, & then here’s how I painted those same lyrics today. What a difference just a few years time makes!! So moral of the story is...
1. Get friends like Brenda Gorton who encourage you & spur you on in your dreams
2. Never give up!!!!! Keep practicing!!! Take progress pics (whether that be in painting, writing, exercising, anything really tbh) so you can look back & be thankful for those hours you spent working HARD!!
