HIP MOBILITY FLOW
Here are two awesome exercises to improve your hip mobility and core control.
Try incorporating one or both as part of your warm-up routine. Work through each exercise for at least 1-2 minutes focusing on control.
They also work great as a “filler” exercise in between your main lifts to help improve positioning and range of motion.
I have an #nsv tonight! During my workout I got a message from a client/friend who received a snarky backhanded compliment from a family member. The message read: "you look great! I wish I could workout all the time like you do, but I have to take care of my kids." Now, to the untrained eye that may not look so bad. But... it really is a cutting thing to say to another mother. To a really great mother! Oh the things I wanted to tell her to say!!! BUT instead my response to her was this:
NEVER LET ANYONE'S EXCUSES DIMINISH YOUR WORK ETHIC.
Listen, I have already been there. I have already heard the crap, the assumptions, the nonsense. You have to have a thick skin sometimes. That's all there is to it. People who make backhanded compliments like that are looking for one thing: they want you to feel as miserable as they do. You can kindly decline that invitation. And that is my NSV. I was nice 😁
Also another thing I hear a lot: well if I got paid to workout everyday I would look like that too... welll.... in case you hadn't heard there is a little contest going on right now with a pretty hefty price tag on it. I did something today that is COMPLETELY unlike me. I made a spontaneous decision to sign up and be a @beachbody coach. I just started the #80dayobsession (today was day 2 🍑) and already feel that this is the beginning to an incredible journey.
To compliment my path to fitness, I’m also enrolled @nutritionschool to become an Integrative Health Coach. I’m so incredibly passionate about helping people discover their inner strengths and best-self , mainly because I’ve personally struggled so much. Joshua Rosenthal at #IIN said something like, “heal the client, heal the coach” and it’s never resonated more than it does today. I’ve battled eating disorders for over a decade. ITP. Amenorrhea. Depression. Self deprecation. Low self esteem. Poor digestion. Anxiety. And with all that I developed habits that were ultimately killing me.
Like most people I’ve gone back and forth on what I want my life to mean. What is my purpose? Who do I want to be? What can I do to make this world better? And I truly believe that I am on my way to finding those answers. There’s no timeline. There’s no expiration date on your dreams you just have to keep going. Never settle.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride and I could not be more excited or determined. Stay tuned!
BELLieve your goal is only as good as your action plan. Many want monumental change, but only scratch the surface of interest that will not reciprocate even an inkling of the desired finality. When they built your home, a random artist was not chosen- but an architect who could bring the vision to pass with more than a few drawings... The inside was meticulously planned with precise detail, and continuous evaluation in both the materials and the location. A building cannot support itself on an improper foundation, otherwise the shack would come tumbling down with the least bit of wind and rain. It's only sustainable for decades bc thorough planning and rigorous execution was a part of the process. So when you want anything in life, accept the journey, the inve$tment, and the effort necessary to bring your vision to pass. What good is a seed if it's not sewn in a field to produce a harvest??? I've never seen an apple spring forth on concrete. Get rooted in your intention and recognize that YOU are the firstfruits of the kingdom. Don't spend your life laboring for the weekend when your toil was meant to serve and cultivate your potential as an heir of possibility. Bypass the tips and get the plan!!! Stop sewing into the tangible while your purpose suffers a drought. Choose the dreams of tomorrow by ending procrastination today. THIS is going to be an amazing year for some!!! Yet even two hands bound together in prayer are futile without the movement of your feet. Your dreams are waiting my friends.. Now Get Up, take up your bed, and WALK... Work was a shit show, just CRAZY busy and all the things happened.
Terrible headache and I just am not in the mood for anything today (yay pregnancy hormonesssss). I could have used alllll of this for an excuse to just come home and slip in bed but I didn’t.
“It’s always easy for you, you always work out” ummm no. I’m on the struggle bus all the time just like anyone else. It’s not always easy for me. Especially after a day like today. I just promised myself I would be better so I got up and got it done. That’s it.
It sucked and I hated it but I’m done making excuses for myself. They get you literally no where. So, I put on my not as crabby pants and did my workout.
It’s not always easy. Some days suck. You just have to do it. No excuses. Sitting on the couch wouldn’t have gotten me anywhere except for feeling worse tomorrow.
So, here’s to hoping for a better tomorrow!! 🥂

Sometimes when you read cards you read them with a fancy, well-planned ritual set up.
