Two years ago I lost a fitness challenge against my husband ... in losing that challenge I was required to take 10 one hour lessons with him driving a stick shift. Those were painful lol ... for a great multitasker ... this skill I did not understand nor did I do well.
I completed those lessons that summer, but I never ever wanted to drive stick after that.
Coming back to work means working weekends. We've been switching the car seats back and forth between the 2 cars each weekend, but with 2 kids and 2 dogs the van is the ideal vehicle to leave behind for Brett when I'm at work ... Today I drove the stick alone to and from work and didn't die, didn't have an anxiety attack, or stall. Definitely looked like a deeb jerking and lurching around from the stop and go, but I did it! Hopefully it becomes second nature to me by the end of 2018! One of my goals for the new year, smooth gear shifting 😂
