Truth is living, speaking, and doing, according to what’s in your heart. Truth is living in courage instead of hiding in fear. Truth allows you to let go of the need to please and live for others. Truth is passion, truth is harmony, truth is joy, truth is freedom. Are you striving to live in truth?

“When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.” - Fred Rodgers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The same can be said of our sensations—which are the foundations of our emotions. As we rev the engine of our bodily awareness, as we notice the landscape of our bodily experience, we may encounter overwhelming, upsetting, or scary sensations, often linked with emotions, tied to stories, and clamped into our tissue by our silence. Whether it’s the intensity of shame or vibrant joy, our systems are designed to be creator and conduit of responses to life. But our fear of sensation can turn us into museums of antiquities, holding on to the artifacts of our past, unable to create new, fresh experiences. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Naming our sensations and sharing them with a supportive presence, in a journal, or in deep Presence with yourself, is the key to sensation taking its rightful place in our lives as information that can connect us to ourselves and others, and teach us about what matters most to us.
Amazing things happen when we see our limiting thought patterns and habitual reactions clearly. We then have the choice to let them go, to create new opportunities for action, to create new possibilities for our future and to fly higher than we ever imagined possible. That is the power of learning the mechanics of the mind. Happy weekend folks 😁💚
If you have the self discipline to actually control your diet 100%
You can probably do anything you set your mind to. .
Controlling what you put in you body and when you put it in your body is one of the greatest exercises of self discipline. .
This type of daily exercise gives you confidence in yourself to build the momentum for continuous self discipline in other areas of life. .
Thus creating the habit of self discipline.
The real winners in life are not the smartest ones, they are not the hardest working ones, they are the ones that understand self discipline. The winners understand that self discipline is the only path toward success. .

Are you feeling hungry, tired or emotional?
Then it's best to put off big decisions until you address those issues.
Of course, this is easier said than done because in today's society we place a premium on making quick decisions, acting quickly, and acting continuously.
But when you feel hungry, tired or emotional, you tend to make terrible decisions.
When you have a big decision to make, get in the habit of asking yourself if you feel hungry, tired or emotional. Really think about it. If you're hungry, go eat something and wait an hour. If you're tired, take a nap or sleep on the decision overnight. If you're feeling emotional, go watch a sit-com, exercise, read a book, or meditate. It's so important to do this checkup on yourself before making big decisions.
It's also important to get in the habit of identifying situations that regularly make you feel hungry, tired or emotional. For example, when I go to the gym I know I'm going to come out feeling exhausted with low blood sugar. So I bring a can of coke and drink it immediately after exercising. I wait an hour for it to kick in and then I'm good to go. Training yourself to proactively address situations where you know you'll feel one of these ways can save you from making poor decisions.
Hungry, tired and emotional. Recognize when you feel these ways and put off any decisions until you address those issues.
Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like there was this massive dark cloud over me. I can’t explain why?? I swear this cloud comes at least one day every month--I don’t know if it’s related to hormones or what. I feel as if smiling is harder. I tend to focus all that’s going wrong and can’t seem to focus on the endless things that are going right. I feel like a total failure, personally and professionally. I feel like I’m completely failing Derek as a partner. I feel super emotional. I start doubting a lot things, personally and professionally--wondering if past decisions I have made are the right decisions. It’s a lot of nastiness. Super gloomy and depressing thoughts take over. Sometimes, I even cry. ☁️😏
On here, you usually just see what I like to refer to as my “highlight reel”--please remind yourself social media isn’t reality. I want you to know, more often than not I’m able to control my thoughts and get it together, but not always. More often than not I’m able to see the glass half full rather than half empty, but not always. I’m human just like you. I still have horrible, crummy days as well. Days where I feel like everything is going wrong and the world is on my shoulders. Days where I feel like giving up. .
So today, I’m choosing to start my day by expressing gratitude. Reminding myself of all the goodness in my life. Reminding myself I am beyond blessed. That life isn’t so bad and that bad days happen--they’re just part of the life cycle. Today will be better. Today, I will control my emotions rather than let them control me. I will breathe in, breathe out, and express gratitude every moment I feel the darkness creeping in. I will make today a good day. After all, it is a choice--some days, it just requires some extra effort. .
P.S. Getting to the point where I see the glass half full more often than not, did not come natural to me. I was a super negative person growing up. I had to undo a lot of habits and rewire my brain. .
No Time is wasted when we learn something new. Don’t be afraid to be alone. Use that time to have a “date” with yourself and get to know yourself better. Wonderful things happen when our internal dialogues are full of love, compassion and kindness. #emotionalintelligence#bestself#personalpower
Going up and down with your weight, back and fourth with your acne, happy to unhappy- it’s all a byproduct of fixing one area and not the others⚡️
Pick one focal point, one habit for each area and work on them together.
Example: 🌱Practicing mindfulness while you exercise to get in the zone. 🌱Followed by eliminating toxic substances from your diet and journaling your release emotions each day.
🌱Journaling can be a 10 minute practice.
🌱Exercise in the gym can start with 10 minutes.
🌱Switching the food will be a choice.
🌱Mindfulness becomes a state of being.
You have to decide to do better and then do it for the whole body, not just it’s parts 🎯.
For some reason it is easier to hate ourselves, think we’re not good enough, that we don’t deserve so we try to be something we’re not. We need to let that go and start embracing all we are and be ok with that. Love is the only was we can grow and transform!
