I remember answering that early morning call as clearly as if it happened yesterday.
It was THAT call.
The one I knew I would inevitably receive.
I was in SHOCK, even though it came as no surprise.
I had spoken with her on the phone just hours before.
Each time I flew across the country to be with her and each time I left, I KNEW it may be the last time I see her.
SHE was gone.
My Mother had passed.
Leading up to this moment I had been in an emotional fog for months.
Most days crying until I couldn’t cry anymore.
Crying for HER.
Crying for my SISTER.
For the rest of my family.
Crying for ME.
ANGRY with her.
How is it possible to be so angry yet love someone SO MUCH?
Why hadn’t I forgiven her for all that happened, let her in my heart years earlier, then we would have had more time together?
From that moment on I declared that I would have NO MORE REGRETS.
My goal would be to LIVE each day of my life as if it were one of my last.
Dedicating my life to serving others and supporting them on their journey.
My Mom was one of my greatest teachers.
What's crazy, is that prior to her diagnosis and untimely death, I'd felt the call to re-evaluate how I'd been living my life and to focus on what was really important, but I kept ignoring my intuition because I let fear take over.
Unfortunately, it took my Mom's illness and death to push me into action.
After that, nothing else was as important as making sure I lived a purpose-driven life.
A life that was in alignment with my values and I felt I was making a difference.
If you're feeling called to make changes in your life, don't ignore them.
The TRUTH is, love is the only truth.
Fear only exists because of uncertainty, and procrastination is a form of self-sabotage.
If you're ready to change and you want to live a more purpose-driven life, I want to help you receive the clarity and support you need to move forward. You are not meant to go through this alone.
See my bio to set up a complimentary clarity session, and we'll chat about how I can help.
Great thought here from @tonygaskins ...
Keep going, even if you're alone.
The longer you work at something, the better you'll be at it (provided you have talent, of course). Along the way though, people who started with you might not finish with you. People you thought were your crew may not stay your crew. People you hoped would succeed with you might not.
And worse, they might resent you for it.
Don't mind them. Don't hate them. Don't get angry with them.
But don't stay with them either. They have their path, you have yours.
Keep your focus.
Find your crew.
Go get it.
I love running (in theory😂). I’m in my yellow top again feeling 🔝 after the gym. Oh how I make the other treadmill users look good haha, I really have to work on my running skills😳...I train to feel good and to sustain my balance. If I would have listened to every comment that has ever been made about my body I would be utterly confused. Let it go, no one cares about if your left bicep or breast is exactly the same as your right or whatever; cut yourself some slack. If it bothers you, do something about it but not because it bothers someone else. My body is here to please me, not everyone else. Some like tall, blue or small and some like big, short or tall- I like me and thats what matters. My body is strong and has carried me through pleasant pregnancies and given birth to 3 love children, bouncing back in no time because I love it and it loves me back. I have always taken pride in my body and my imperfections and that has a very positive effect on the level of passion I have and had in my life as well. Many people are like butterflies; they dont see their own beautiful wings, but believe me they are there🦋Spread ’em and you will fly free to another level of pleasure, passion and satisfaction#RAWR 🐯

#TuesdayTip — make like Nike and #JustDoIt . If you're like most of the world, the only things you sure are going to come to pass are all the negative things you make up in your head. Turn those thoughts down for ten seconds, take a deep breath, and make that phone call. Start that project you've been putting off. Lace up your shoes and work off some steam at the gym. Those ten seconds are all you need, because once you get started, you'll see it wasn't as bad as you thought after all! You got this!
Learn to say NO. If you don't want something, then let people know that. It's not rude if it's just not for you, that's okay. What is rude would be to lead people on. It's easy for the time being to just blow someone off and say "maybe another time." But when another time comes around- that second time saying no is way harder. #justsaynothefirsttime 📸 credit @andrewoptics
I teach catechism to Grade 2 children, and our lessons always include a virtue for the month: things like Faith, Reverence, Stewardship, Gratitude and the like. What I know to be true is that for the religious or non-religious, it's within these virtues that lie our answers to what we want in our lives and how we want to show up.⠀
Do you have a hard time articulating what that is for you? Do you have a hard time visioning and imagining life on your terms?⠀
What stops us from visioning and really connecting with our answers and what we want, is living in and focusing on the opposite of the virtues.⠀
The vices. The things we do outside of ourselves that don't serve who it is we truly are. The control we try and exert over our lives. The temporary band-aid solutions to reacting and responding to life as if it is a force happening to us, and not for us.⠀
I challenge you to look into the virtues and decide how you can take a new virtue that you believe in into your own life. Start uncovering your answers of what it is that you really want so you can start living on your terms.
