🔥 Hey hey! If you’re looking for a killer back workout, then this post is for YOU! I’ve listed the entire workout below, with some “show notes”, so you can perform it in the most optimal way! Here you go:

Workout Set A
▪️ A1) Barbell Sumo Deadlift: 4 sets, 8 reps (2 min rest)
👉🏼 Notes: Please warmup before training! Strict form, squeeze that booty at the top of the rep!

Workout Set B
▪️ B1) Standing Barbell Row: 4 sets, 12-15 reps (90 sec rest)
👉🏼 Notes: Again, strict form! Pull through your elbows (this is a really great queue for back exercises).

Workout Set C
▪️ C1) Standing Cable Row: 3 sets, 12 reps (0 sec rest)
▪️ C2) Rope Straight Arm Pulldown: 3 sets, 15 reps (90 sec rest)
👉🏼 Notes: On C1, pull through to your hips and on C2, keep your chest up and shoulders back. Pull through to your hips through your elbows.

Workout Set D
▪️ D1) Batwing Row: 4 sets, 12 reps (0 sec rest)
▪️ D2) Hammer Curls: 4 sets, 10 reps (90 sec rest)
👉🏼 Notes: On D1, instead of pulling “up”, pull “back and up” (as you guessed, through your elbows and to your hips). D2 should be proper form, while not raising the DB above the point you lose muscle tension.

▪️ E1) Lat Pulldown (1 sec pause): 3 sets, 12 reps (0 sec)
▪️ E2) Rope Face Pulls: 3 sets, 15 reps (60 sec rest)
👉🏼 Notes: E1 requires a slight 0.5-1 second pause. Keep your lats tight, and your chest up and proud. E2, elbows up and pull through them!

▪️ F1) Iso Lateral High Row: 3 sets, 8 reps (0 sec rest)
▪️ F2) Close Grip EZ Bar Curl: 3 sets, 8 reps (60 sec rest)
👉🏼 Notes: Finish strong with this super set! F1 and F2 can be a little heavier, but don’t neglect proper form.

As always @code9._ @vibewithcj_ and @dom_nicolo came in and got after it, putting them one day closer to another state championship

Full Workouts are better 
Full body workouts can be a great way to increase strength, power, and hypertrophy. For strength, it is wise to structure you program with a majority of multi-joint, heavy compound lifts (Squat, bench press, deadlift, chin-up), while adding enough supplementary lifts to compliment the goals of the program, but not cause too much volume resulting in overtraining. For power, whole body workouts may be composed of full body Olympic weightlifting movements or derivatives (E.g. snatches, power cleans, etc.). Additionally, things like jump squats and bench throws may be included that require full body power, but are more reliant on the lower or upper body, respectively. Adding more variation to the training program may be beneficial for a program structured to increase hypertrophy, with a mix of upper and lower body compound and isolation movements. However, when performing full body workouts, it becomes increasingly important to monitor things like total volume and frequency of training. Thereby, helping to optimize recoverability and minimize the effects of fatigue from workout to workout.

I wasn’t planning on working out today because I’d hardly eaten all day and I was absolutely exhausted, but hubby @rdeahl2 convinced me to, so I trained some arms and a little bit of abs in between sets. I did sets of ten of this circuit and it killed me!! I hope you all got some sort of killer workout in today. I can’t wait to fuel up and train again tomorrow!
