This hot yoga class was a great start to the weekend to reset my body and mind with @malkelts @bluemonkeyyoga @fitlifemelrose. Getting into warrior 3 pose I had to find my balance and stability utilizing the core. It was a great class for releasing the weeks tensions and especially during this busy holiday season. I liked how we were reminded to focus our mind and to honor our intentions letting go of all the things that do not serve us. It's funny how we see ourselves sometimes, compared to how others see us. And how we THINK people see us. Laying on my mattress on the floor in India having a doodle. And a think. When we're honest, of course to others, but more so to ourselves, there aren't any masks to see; we don't give people different faces and minds to figure out because we learn to love our truth. People see what we offer them, what we show them. So when we're in our heads, in our egos, we show them someone else. Someone not us. We show them who we think they want to see. This creates false bonds, which are not sustainable. But when we are true to ourselves, and live in that truth and love, that's what we show people because we're not afraid of their reactions. And that creates true bonds. The ones that don't get it, don't stay. And that's all good because the ones that do get it, do. And that's who we want by our sides. That's our tribe. So be yourself. Love yourself. And let others see your truth. Because you are fricken awesome. How are you breathing right now? If you’ve answered quick and shallow then this exercise is for you.
Relaxing Breath (also called 4-7-8 breathing) is done by inhaling through the nose for 4 seconds, holding for 7, and exhaling through the mouth (preferably with a whooshing sound) for 8. Repeat four times for a more peaceful and relaxed you. Watch the video in my stories if you need more of an explanation. .
This exercise can be done anytime, anywhere and is great at keeping us calm and helping us live in the moment.

Sometimes it's hard and scary to sit in your own thoughts and feelings. Things come up and they can be raw and painful but that's when we release, that's when we heal, thats when we start to unveil the layers of our authentic self and what we stand for in this crazy life. You can always find things to distract you or keep you busy but do we really need those outside sources to get a sense of ease? Sure they might help but the real magic and strength comes from within. So I encourage you to welcome your thoughts and feelings with open arms and bring your awareness and breath deep into your internal body. Shitty feelings or not so shitty feelings.. And let them take you where you need to be. Trust the process and the vibe of your heart. BE YOUR OWN HERO! 👊💥❤ *
