Fast Log: Day 2 (Jan 16, 2018) -
PRAISE WATER. Last night I tried to sleep at 9 PM, finally started sleeping at 4 AM, and woke up at 8 AM not tired or sluggish at all. Do I just need less sleep now? Idk but it certainly feels like it. Hunger hit me just a bit stronger this time, my body hasnt entered into ketosis yet so I have no idea whatll happen on days three and four when it finally does; hunger might disappear, white fat mass will become the primary energy source, focus and attention will increase; all that stuff is what Ive heard, gonna experience it within the next 24 hours and im ready for it. My Momma bought lemon pepper chicken for us and I had to drive back home with my grandmother with the deloocuis smell of it in the car, in other words, I was in a mobile torture chamber for a second. More stuff to stack in the fridge for days, oh boy! Really, Im already glad I did this, this was a good test of will and tbh even before all the good stuff happens Im feeling pretty good. Im always room temp, though, like my body heat dropped and I can feel the slightest temperature variations, its crazy. Anyway, Im looking forward to keeping this going tomorrow.
This last weekend I had the opportunity to fire up the horses and shake off the rust at the Incydeman Indoor Triathlon. Race report: Best swim of my life! Great performance on the bike! And a fun run on a pretty difficult track. As you can see by the photo the track had 4 90° turns per lap to navigate. After logging the fastest run split of the day and having blisters on my feet I was certainly ready for a nap. In my first competition representing the MSU Triathlon Club and @nuunhydration I finished in 2nd place! Thank you the Gear West for providing me with all the necessary equipment to perform, Nuun for keeping me hydrated, MSU Tri Club for welcoming me to the team, and the ISU Triathlon team for hosting and cheering for me and @ssyvertson15!!! #gearwestfun#nuunlife#hornsup#nuunambassador#triathlete#runner#indoor#race#thankful#isutriathlonclub#hydration#fast#speed#msu#iowa#endurance#athlete#podium#photography#story#team#mavericks
