I wanted to share a little #transformationtuesday today (SWIPE👉) the first picture is from September and the second one was yesterday (Nov20) notice the 🍑 #gains ? Same pose, same mindset. And my training is almost identical.... almost. I’ve been implementing glute activation and warmup sets to my leg days for the past few months. If you don’t know what glute activation is it’s simply doing a few moves at the beginning of your leg day or as a warmup set to simply wake up your glutes and get them warmed up and ready to work. Glute activation is also exercises that target the glutes PRIMARILY which helps you grow that lil peachy peach
Some of my fav glute activation moves include:
🔅resistance band jump squats 🔅RB glute bridges (double and single leg) with your feet on a bosu ball
🔅rb donkey kickbacks
🔅rn side steps 🔅cable kickbacks
🔅side leg raise pulses

I’m struggling so hard right now. Wondering why I ever decided to be a structural engineer. Man, hard is an understatement. I know this part of my story is only making me stronger, but life is definitely testing me right now. I will say that the friendships I have established while pursuing my degree are friendships that I truly cherish and hope last a lifetime. Teamwork makes the dream work. These two have been training together for several months. They have been able to remain consistent by holding each other accountable and continuing to push and support one another. Left me in the past low body fat percentage, very detailed eating and training/cardio. Right me now ☺️ Don't know my body fat, don't feel like I have to track anything anymore, train happily as always lifting all da weights! 😝 Consistency will get you far yes, but so will your perspective on it all. 🙌🏼 Being fit or active means YOU feel the want to be healthy and enjoy the benefits of getting movin' 🏋🏽♀️ Make it a lifestyle by not putting rules or a ton of restrictions. It should be a journey of health and self growth 🌱

Living life in alignment... living intentionally... thinking, speaking, acting for your Highest self (+ future better self).
So much can change when you start taking inventory of your thoughts, words, and actions. Is your morning routine setting you up for a successful + positive day? Are you eating foods that make you feel good + nourish your body? Are you giving your body what it needs in terms of exercise + self-care? Are your thoughts aligned with what you’re putting out into the world? Are you surrounding yourself with people who inspire you + lift you higher?
Once I stated to take note of the what’s, why’s, and how’s... it became so much easier to live life in the flow... in alignment — mind, body, soul.
It became easier to eat right, exercise, and even mindfully choose how I spend my free time (and who I spend it with). I’m by no means perfect + certainly not living every day in alignment... but that’s the goal. Of course there are times where I’m like why the F did I do that? Or I say yes to people, places, things that aren’t the best for me. But by processing how I feel after these encounters... I’m able to make better decisions daily. Always learning. Always growing. Always chasing a better me.
