🌿🍃We tried @rootedjuicery for this month's $30 & Under! Looking to stay a bit healthy during the holiday season? This is your spot! We shared an order of avocado toast with roasted red pepper flakes as an appetizer ($7.) The Avocado Hummus Wrap, complete with soft sweet potato and tons of flavor was filling ($10.) Rooted aided with a dietary need and replaced quinoa with zucchini noodles for its Bombay Bowl, with homemade coconut curry ($9.) We finished off with a Banana Power Bite ($1.50.) Total was $28.83! Almost all of Rooted's products are vegan and they're all made with 100% organic ingredients. Their pressed juices and nutmilks range from $6 (for minis) to around $12. Cranberry Energy Smoothie
1 1/2 oz swiss chard
1 apple - chopped
3 oz cranberries
1 tbsp hemp seed
1 tsp lucuma powder
1 cup almond milk
1 cup ice
Is it raw? Yes. Is it ugly? Probably. Is the technique terrible? Oh, embarrassing so. Is it happy to watch?? Not in the least. Is it a true expression or how I'm feeling right now? ABSOLUTELY. .
Was so inspired by @samanthajoharvey's dance post today - encouraging us to be more authentic in our emotions & lives, and always inspired by @sabina.valery's amazing improvs that totally embody raw expression + conviction, and @arielle_miller's courageous honesty lately, that I finally rallied the courage inside of me to share a few clips of me improv'ing within my current inner emotions (so, yeah, this post is for you lovely fitfam ladies). 💜
For those that might not know, modern dance was kind of important earlier in my life (I even competed in it way back when!), and don't usually share the art form now with people. So how does this work?
Nb: oversimplification ahead but needs that.
Two women both losing weight. -
When we lose weight the body takes from protein and fat stores. We need to be clear about this.
Firstly, you need to deplete glycogen (carbs in muscle). Before you use the logic of lowering carbs in your diet it's largely a false economy. Carbs protect protein and you will see why that's relevant soon.
Ok to the chase........
One woman is on a 1000k/cal diet and burning around 2100k/cal a day (yes that's not huge for someone) she isn't training and even if she was it would make the issue actually worse.
This means that her body is desperately trying to slow metabolic processes down and preserve fat for survival. Shes getting 1400k/cal from stores on day one. Over the coming days her body will slow and to the point that at 50% below her BMR her thyroid will even begin to go into a degree of atrophy (shrink). In this time the ratio of weight loss from protein (muscle, hair, skin etc) will increase and the weight loss coming from fat will decrease. -

Been wanting to share my laser experience for a while now & since I’m almost close to crossing the finish line I can confidently do so 😏I CANNOT stress how much damage I’ve done to my legs by waxing, shaving, dry shaving 🙄🤦🏻♀️ skeptical on starting laser after hearing horror stories about people burning their skin & how painful it was until i FINALLY found a pain free laser method that’s worked best for me! 😅 roughly after 12 sessions (more/less) I can confidently wear skirts, dresses & shorts, @nik_nakx_ such a champion by making me see past that ♥️ even after getting foundation on his pants every time we’d go out cos Id try & cover up marks on my legs 😑 (sorry babe)
Unfortunately I don’t have any progress pics maybe that’s because I was very insecure at the time for a VERY long time until I started laser
With not a pore or hair in sight u can now call me seal (not because I can sing (I can’t 😞 -shame) but cause i look like 1; ain’t I “smooth” 😏) 🙇🏻♀️ I’ve now been for laser for full arms, full legs, underarms & bikini & I can FINALLY-happily say I’m close to throwing my razor away for GOOD 😝

Също така витамините B6, B12, холин, тиамин, фосфор, калций, цинк, и както горе споменахме - антиоксиданти, помагащи за здравето на очите (лутеин и зеаксантин). Богати са и на омега-3-мастни киселини. -
Свръхприемът на жълтъци трябва да притеснява най-вече неспортуващите свръхчувствителни към холестерол хора, диабетиците и страдащите от проблеми с жлъчката.
