Obvious this photos weren't taken today but being sick gives me way too much time to reflect on my fitness, meal plans and 'the good old times' of the past. When I was a competitive athlete I never really thought about my nutrition but simply followed the plans provided by my coaches and naturally made the right choices. After struggling with injury and eventually quitting, I was completely lost. Don't get me wrong, I knew what's good, what's okay and what not to eat but it took time for my mind to adjust as well. Going from 4-5 hours of training every day to sitting in a school, library or office chair didn't exactly help either. 6 years and a child later I realised that the only way to fill this gap is by "fully" getting back into it, not in a sense of putting my skates back on, but getting my body, mind and strength back. In June I went to my first Yoga class in ages and also started mindful/clean eating, in July I added BodyPump, in August CrossFit Endurance training and in September I went through CrossFit Fundamentals. Don't get me wrong, I could've trained in the comfort of my own home, go running or biking or sign up to a regular gym but I'm the kind of person that needs the extra motivation and feeling that I'm working towards a goal. This is the first winter in years where I'm not feeling depressed watching skating competitions on TV or constantly thinking about how I never made it to the Olympics. Instead, I'm looking forward to my first beginners CrossFit competition in March and I also finally realised that ending a competitive career and not achieving one goal doesn't mean there is no point in doing sports at all or setting new fitness goals. In fact, now I know it's never too late to start something new or to find a new passion. Have a great Saturday everyone! 😊💪❤️

Looking ~~thick~~ and PALE. My GOD I’m the color of white paint but no worries I almost used half a bottle of tan last night to get my ✨glow✨ back. Anyways found out that my car battery was bad (bc ya girl didn’t do the car service when it was due oops) BUT about to jump this ~ish bc I don’t need no man (jk @alirahal98 you’re the most amazing neighbor and friend). THEN I’ll hit the gym since I didn’t make it yesterday. Anyways happy Saturday little ones 💕

Op onze rustdag hebben we wat smoothies proberen te maken. We eten zeer gezond maar we vonden dat we te weinig fruit aten. We testten de silvercrest smoothiemaker uit en maakten een lekkere smoothie van meloen en limoentjes. Via ons verhaal kan je dit allemaal volgen 😜😙! Deze avond gaan we ook rustig thuis blijven zodat we morgen opnieuw het beste van onszelf kunnen geven in de gym! Veel plezier deze avond 💋

Hi, hello, still here 👋🏻, managed to actually train 4 times this week for the first time since beginning of December 😅 do I still get to put 'pt' at the end my name? Am I still #fitness 😂😂back to tracking macros after about 7 weeks off too as I just feel so much better when I track.  Currently in a slight deficit due to recent #lackoftraining barring one day per week but once I'm back into a routine I'll push into a surplus again alongside some GVT & Olympic lifting to get strong & hopefully massivvvvvv 😆💪🏻#Standardchangingroomselfie
Hi, hello, still here 👋🏻, managed to actually train 4 times this week for the first time since beginning of December 😅 do I still get to put 'pt' at the end my name? Am I still #fitness  😂😂back to tracking macros after about 7 weeks off too as I just feel so much better when I track. Currently in a slight deficit due to recent #lackoftraining  barring one day per week but once I'm back into a routine I'll push into a surplus again alongside some GVT & Olympic lifting to get strong & hopefully massivvvvvv 😆💪🏻#Standardchangingroomselfie

I haven’t checked my BMI in ages but I just used this little website out of curiosity. I’m over the moon to see a ‘normal’ weight, especially after not training properly for a few weeks. It just proves that you can take time out to let your body recover and not have to wave goodbye to your hard earned results. I feel a lot healthier since I first measured my BMI that read ‘seriously overweight.’ At least that pushed me to change my lifestyle though! .
P.S. 7 stone 7 might seem low but I’m only 4ft11 and clearly this is healthy for me. I am however aiming to gain some weight on the scales by building muscle, which is a little daunting but very exciting! .
I can’t wait to see my progress, watch this space! 💃🏼💁🏼‍♀️. Happy #strongsaturday all of you #fitfam

I’ll get better at this whole video making! But shoulders are my absolute favorite thing to workout and I love these 4! For me I am trying to lose weight so I do light weight with 3-4 sets of 15-20 reps. I take about a 20-30 second break so that I can keep my heart rate up and sweat. I promise you will be feeling the burn 🔥

Day 34: Fat-loss journey. So this week i was not able to meet my daily protein intake goals of 166g; which forced me to change my strength training plans. However, I did manage to stay within my calorie intake for the day and I continued to stay proactive each day with cardio and every other day with strength trainings. I look forward to measuring my body fat percentage next week and sharing them with you guys.
