I cannot count the times I've heard this over and over where it got to a point where I actually started to believe everything that was said to me. Countless friends and family having their opinion on how and what I should look like!!! I got sick and tired of it and if I'm being totally honest some comments still get me (those from people that I love) but then I re-evaluate the situation and think to myself "they haven't been through my fitness journey and they don't know what I want to look like and they are not busting their butt and making sacrifices to get where they want to be" so why even bother listening? It's just noise!!! BLOCK-IT-OUT👂🏼🚫 -
Stop judging and focus on your goals instead of trying to fix someone else's. If you don't want to look like someone else then don't. It's not a task you have to complete. People -even close friends/family- project themselves in us and most of the time, when you hear comments like these, that person is actually trying to help you but they don't realize they're aid is actually unhelpful judgement. They don't mean any harm. They feel that if they tell you how THEY would be happy then that would make YOU happy too which is completely untrue.

So whenever you see somebody that looks "too bulky" "too skinny" "too manly" "to flat" IN YOUR PERSPECTIVE remember that you don't know their struggles and what their goals are. Unless somebody asks for your opinion, don't tell anyone how they should look. Keep your mind focused on what you want to achieve and let others kick ass on whatever it is they are trying to kick ass in 😉💜

I'm proud of my progress as of today, but I'm also frustrated that I actually was okay with my body & mentality in the first one. 🤔

I'm sure a lot of you will say "you don't even look that bad" but the thing is, it wasn't my best. I didn't strive to better myself. I wasn't motivated enough to make a consistent effort in changing my lifestyle. I was content with how I looked & felt. In my opinion, fitness never has & never will be about just "looking" good. To me, it's a combination of both looking good & FEELING good.

I'm gona share a little bit of my experience thus far. I've been working out on & off since I was 16 years old. I've had trainers, I've done all the DVDs, meal prepped the basic chicken, veggies & rice & I can honestly tell you, I knew nothing. For the last almost 12 years I have been doing the bare minimum & seeing little to no results. It wasn't until recently I decided what I was doing wasn't working & I wanted more.

I don't have a trainer, I don't have someone writing my meal plans & workouts. I have ME. I'm putting in the work. I'm watching all the fitness/bodybuilding YouTube channels & researching everything I want to know. I'm experimenting with food, workouts, etc. I've made more progress in a little over a month BY MY FREAKING SELF. Why? Because I WAS NOT HAPPY. Because I WANTED MORE. Because I AM TIRED OF SETTLING. I wanted change. ITS ME VS ME! I will never STOP fighting to be better because I fell IN LOVE with this industry & I fell IN LOVE with the person staring back at me in the mirror. 💞

🇫🇷 En ce moment, beaucoup de personnes veulent révolutionner la musculation et la nutrition pour se distinguer. Ils nous disent que toutes les calories se valent, alors oui sur un plan comptable c'est exact donc 1kcal de Haribo = 1kcal de banane. Lorsqu'on ne cherche pas plus loin, les macronutrients de ses aliments sont les mêmes. 16g de sucre naturel (fructose) pour la banane contre 16g de sucre industriel pour les bonbons, contrairement au fructose de la banane, les Haribo vont déclencher une hyperglycémie (=trop de sucres), le pancréas sécrète alors de l'insuline, s'en suit une lipogenèse (stockage de graisses) puis une hypoglycémie réactionnelle (=manque de sucres)... et vous allez donc avoir envie de consommer du sucre à nouveau... cercle vicieux, vous allez donc aussi augmenter votre apport calorique (puisque vous remangez des bonbons). Et même dans le cas où vous vous arrêtez la, d'un point de vue nutritionnel, 105kcal de Haribo et de bananes ne se valent pas.  Celles des Haribo sont des calories "vides" sans micronutriments, l'organisme stocke ces calories sous forme de gras car il a du mal à les utilser. Contrairement aux calories "pleines" de micronutriments des bananes (notamment en vitamines, magnésium et potassium). Pour finir l'indice de satiété d'une banane est bien plus élevé que celui de 30g de bonbons..donc vous ne remangez rien derrière. ‼️ Pour conclure, pour perdre ou prendre du poids de façon optimale, la balance calorique est très importante mais elle ne remplace pas la qualité des aliments. Quel est l'intérêt d'être mince si l'on est tout mou ??

💪🏼Bicep curls 💪🏼 because every lady loves toned arms! I always want you to lift heavier weights, but I want your form to be perfect first. Too often I see people throwing their whole body into lifting the weights up, but that is the easiest way to get an injury.
