Damn proud of @mrusso86 for this weekend at @throwdownseries ❤️ It was his first individual crossfit competition at this level and I’ve never seen him so nervous before!! He did AMAZING!! He was the only one in his heat to finish the first event and he placed high in his row and hang clean! Couldn’t be prouder of him and how hard he worked! His display of sportsmanship and integrity is something I admire constantly and love about him the most.
Everyone seems to know who he is and we couldn’t walk more than 2 feet and someone would stop to tell him good luck or congrats. He’s always cheering those on around him, showing his support and he shows up for his friends and fellow athletes when they need it. He’s a true athlete and I’m pretty damn proud to be his wife.

Biggest takeaway from today: Willpower is not something you are born with. It’s something you create through hard work and discipline. 💪
I had a lot of reasons why today could have gone wrong - I changed up my schedule several times which made it harder for me to follow my timed nutrition. My car smelled like fries from last night’s “last supper” and I wanted to go get Sonic. I went to Starbucks with some friends and I REALLY wanted a cake pop. My WiFi crashed in the middle of my workout, and ordinarily I would have said 30 minutes was enough.
But I know what’s good for me. I know that tomorrow’s workout will be easier if I finish today’s all the way through and if I eat properly. I know the feeling I’ll get if I cheat, and I also know the feeling I’ll get if I succeed.
I want hard core results, physically and mentally. I want strength. I want more than I’ve ever had before. And so I’m doing what I’ve never done 💃🏼

Since I am at work with nothing to do and all I can think about is Fitness I thought to start writing down what I need to do in order to succeed of course going to the gym as part of the plan but these are things I don't stick to but these are some of the things I want to stick to!

2018 is already off to a great start with having just finished up at the Magic Millions yearling sales with over 1000 yearlings inspected and I assisted judging the conformation and movement for an excellent bloodstock agent to ensure the very best horses were on 'the list' for the clients!

It is no different for your horse, our horses give us so much and often are quite good at hiding issues that are causing them pain and discomfort while an injury is in the early stages. This can lead to behaviour issues or imped their physical capabilities. So regular appointments to check them over should be a part of all horse owners regimes. Because I encourage this practice I have a NO treatment NO charge guarantee, so if you book in and I find nothing wrong with your horse there is NO charge at all!!! Happy Sunday everyone! My god this month has been hectic for me, so i am so sorry for my absence. After all the festivities last month, i’ve been trying to make sure my hydration is on point the last week or so and what a difference it makes to your energy levels! yo obliques where you at doe 😩 currently gained 5-8lbs since last month at this time and although some of those gains DID come from my booty a lot of it is fat on my waist. Lovely! Need to start watching my caloric intake a lot more and not eating at all past 8pm . This shit is not easy.. some days I don’t eat enough, others I eat way too much. I do have those days where I eat Tim Hortons for breakfast and Wendy’s for dinner. 😂People make it look easy on here but it’s a struggle for sure to even be able to understand what it means to be “cutting” or “bulking” ya girl still trying to figure dat out lol....but not to worry! Mindset is EVERYthing. You can only be as good as your mindset.
🤔If I asked you right now what the pillars for a healthy lifestyle were, what would you say? (because yes, I’m asking you now 😉 ). Here's the 3 I work on with my clients 🙂
1️⃣Sure, having the right STRATEGY that is right for YOU (not your friend or that person on IG) both in your nutrition and training, is ONE pillar of a healthy lifestyle.
2️⃣And yes! ACCOUNTABILITY I believe is another main pillar of a healthy lifestyle. Because let’s be honest… we’re human. And even when we KNOW what’s best for us, sometimes we just don’t do it. I’m not immune to this problem even as a dietitian and trainer myself! Why coaches even need coaches.
3️⃣But the OTHER PILLAR to a healthy lifestyle that I think is hugely overlooked? MINDSET. Why?
💠We have to shift our mind on how we look at our health and fitness journey if it’s going to be a lifestyle, and not just another cycle of “dieting” → quick results → falling off → frustration → square 1
💠Before you change what you DO, you have to change what you THINK.
💠What consumes your mind, consumes your life.
💠If you don’t BELIEVE it’s possible or you’re deserving of something - it isn’t going to happen.
💠What you think about, you focus on. What you focus on, you create more of.
🙏🏻Life is only as good as your mindset. If that's the pillar holding you back, in any area of life, find someone to work with that will help you create that mindset shift🙌🏻. Tag someone you admire with a strong and healthy mind!

I was struggling with my overhead squats because of tight hips. My local chiropractor is a genius and after only one adjustment it made a huge difference and I jumped up in weights significantly!
You only get one body. Work with a team of professionals to take care of it. Chiropractors, massage therapists, physiotherapists, kinesiologists and when choosing a training program or personal trainer make sure they’re qualified. Make sure they have a background in strength and conditioning and proper certifications to properly program for you and your goals, limitations and injuries if any.
Take care of your body and it’ll take care of you 🙌🏼
