Little tip is to stretch your triceps out in order to help get into your final shape better. •
This can be done in tandem with the stretch or separately before hand. I also like to add a dumbbell between my hands for extra load, if needed. •
Stretching the triceps out first will help you to open up the anterior chain more & get your chest closer to the floor. •
Holy awesome gallery of crows today!! So many crows- low ones, high ones, funky ones - off to an awesome start!! Day 2 of #namastefittofly is #headstand - one of my favorite poses... and I prefer to do a supported headstand unless I am transitioning through other poses.... We were in Ohio out in Amish country while on Fall break - and while I was recording right in this spot - a horse and buggy went by... so sweet ♥️♥️ but that didn’t happen during my headstand - instead my hubby and daughter were go-carting all around me🏎🏎 Turn sound up to hear them and the peaceful noises at the end. Ahhhhh

Ohhh this is much harder than it looks! It's halfway between a full low squat and high squat so it was much more work, especially with the thighs to hold this pose. •

Post workout routine - foam rolling. Everytime. I love foam rolling. After a workout I don't go overboard as I would if I was warming up. Feels soooooo gooodddd. Especially on the legs/quads, hip flexors and hammys (my trouble areas) . Foam rolling is great for reducing pain and increasing flexibility. When we stretch muscles (working out) they release waste.... the waste build up in the bigger muscles and can cause tightness and stiffening of the muscle and it becomes taunt.. decreasing range of motion and flexibility. When you gently massage (foam roll) the area that facial will start to break up and shift the extra fluid out of the muscle.
This is just one of the amazing reason why foam rolling is so good for you! Helps aid in faster recovery so you can get back to it and get better results quicker! See it's not just all about weights and squats. It's about learning about you body , what it can do and how it works and the best ways to take care of it to get optimal results!!! .

I am so excited to be working in CA with new talents who want to get down to the root of their training. My curriculum is based upon the one applied on me at a young age during my years of the Paris Opera in addition to other training such as Balanchine and Russian technique to come up with a hybrid. This curriculum gives refinement and strength but most of all it provides the student with the ability to understand and gain full control over his/her body.
This was sometthing I had to figure out myself due to my large frame.
I admire students who are willing to go back to the basics and retrain.
I can't wait for tomorrow!
