Phase 2 involves patients who have completed chemotherapy or radiation, and are working towards remission and apparently healthy status. Linda made amazing changes such as a (-6%) drop in body fat, (+38.55%) increase in her cardiorespiratory health, a (+45.45%) increase in her muscular endurance, (+28%) in her muscular strength and a (+41.2%) increase in her flexibility!
Keep up this amazing progress Linda, fight cancer back!

So my husband got me thinking about giving raw vegan a try for a little bit. I’m gonna see if I can get through a whole week and then see where that leads me. So I went to the grocery store first thing this morning and filled a shopping cart full of fruits and veggies! When I got home I used my @vitamix for the first time to make a smoothie. I threw in a giant handful of spinach, 1 ripe banana, a cup of frozen mixed berries, 1/4 cup of frozen dark cherries and some water. It was delicious and sooooo smooth! LOVE my Vitamix! Oh Kale yeah!! In week 3 I went over tricks, food swaps and recipes!! Smoothies and puree/sauce are one of the easiest ways to get veggies in that some kids tend to find unappealing! I loaded this puree with Apple's, Mangos, Kale and Chia seeds!! It's loaded with healthy carbs, fiber, Vitamin C and B vitamins, Calcium, Carotenes (precursor for vitamin A!), Folic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Omega 3s, Potassium, Zinc and SO much more!! Bonus..you can make them at home with little effort!
Back on track! I ate a lot while we were on our mini vacation, I gained some weight back hahah. Scales aren't too important to me, we don't even own one. But I have access to one at work. I have already lost that weight, someone said - yeah you are probably starving yourself! Uhhh I don't think that person knows me well eh? hahah I can't go longer than 2-3 hours without eating! with just a little of my normal activity. Walking with the dogs, taking the long way around when I take the trash out, taking extra steps, movement in everything I do! And keeping an eye on portion control, as well as what goes into my body is huge! Fruits and veggies are so my best friend! It's about being healthy, not about weight goals!
