"Removing all flower buds until our pepper plants grow taller than their cages.. Reason for this is when you remove the flower buds it promotes vegetative growth within the plant and allows your pepper plants to grow big enough to support and push out a ton of fruit! If you let your pepper plants flower out at this small size it will stunt your pepper plants and you will harvest a quarter of what that plant was capable of! Last year I let my plants to grow 3 1/2 feet tall before allowing them to flower out and I harvested hundreds upon hundreds of peppers last year! When you remove one bud it encourages two or more to grow in its spot!"

This weekend we are ordering 5 tonnes of soil to expand our #communal#veggiegarden . The soil will be tipped on the nature strip so we are going to have to get up early, say 9 am, to spend the day (and hopefully just the one day) manually scooping up the soil, carrying it down to the #garden (it's a slight hill but still requires uphill walking nooo) and then repeat all over again. .
I love how our initially tiny #gardeningproject has just taken off to become something that's going to be so cool for our lil #urbanunit . I guess that's how you figure out what your #hobbies are... when you become #obsessed over it!! So excited!! Didn't think I'd ever be so happy about growing my own #veggies and #flowers . Must be turning into my mum :D
