For the past two years, Geelong West Presbyterian Church has been sustained by God's grace despite their pastor retiring, and their building being destroyed by fire.
We are so thankful to God that in 2018, graduating PTC student Luke McSeveny will be taking up a full-time ministry role with Geelong West Pressie!
We are praying for Luke in his new position, and look forward to great things happening in Geelong West. If you're a local, we highly recommend joining the congregation in their journey!

Focusing on the pleasure that comes from slowing down and cooking with simple ingredients, it's packed full of must-make recipes like Tangelo Polenta Drizzle Cake, Lamb Meatballs with Broad Beans and Orecchiette with Peas and Ricotta. Here’s our top 3 tips on how to avoid injuries and optimize your performance:
1. Be mindful of how you run. With optimal running technique, the connective tissues in our body are stretched like a rubber band when your foot strikes the ground; and it is the resultant elastic recoil which propels you forward ( not unlike how a kangaroo bounds along). To achieve this when running, feel for that sense of elegance when you run. Avoid a heavy, jerky and uncontrolled technique.
2. Stretch AFTER running; not before. When you stretch, you slightly damage your tissues, which stimulates your body to repair them in a more flexible form; it doesn’t make sense to run with your tissues in this state! It is better to perform light bouncing movements before running and long sustained stretching afterwards.
3. Wear good quality footwear that is fitted to your foot type by knowledgeable retailers, and remember, if you’re running a lot, upgrade your runners after 6-12 months.
