S U P P S 💊 Okay so let’s talk about supplements. It’s something that everyone has their own opinion on, whether you take them or not. You don’t have to take supplements of any kind it’s completely up to you and personal preference. You can get all the necessary requirements from food you don’t HAVE to take supplements. However, personally, I do take certain supplements. I get all my supplements from @myproteinuk 💙 and i find that by taking supplements helps me to reach my nutritional goals and training goals. I find that for ME and MY body they work 💃🏼 The supplements that i take might not be right for you but that’s something you have to find out!

How do I get motivated? It’s a question I get asked surprisingly often. I am definitely not always motivated to workout, or do anything actually. Some days I just want to lie on the sofa and watch 10 hours of Netflix straight - not particularly good for me but I’m sure it’s balanced out by the mostly active days... 😅However I thought I’d put together a blog post based on my own experiences and some little tips to hopefully help you along the way! 😄

unexpected long day at uni today; started with 4 hours in the sound studio finishing a project followed by a 3 hour workshop😭 didnt realise i woule be in this long so fuelled up with a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich and my favourite super purple smoothie from co-op that i picked up from the campus shop🍉✈️🏋🏽♀️

I see people on the quest for a lean physique eating food that they hate and I cannot comprehend why. Is being lean really worth not enjoying your food for? Because I certainly know that good food is where the happiness is at 🍝🍉🍓🥑 🧀🍰. Abs may be made in the kitchen, but so is pasta and pasta tastes better☝🏻.

Legs conditioning 🏋️♀️ Using the tri- set method. Some of the exercises are not recorded but a tri-set is doing three exercises back to back without a break in between sets and exercises. Great method for conditioning the body and if your short for time.

We, as Millenials, grew up with all these pics of girls perfectly photoshopped in the magazine, with the pro-Ana trend, the urge of having a thigh gap, big boobs, thin legs and perfect skin. I know Instagram is filled with these pre conceived ideas of beauty as well but sometimes one has the power to show what truly lies behind these pics and that being normal is... nothing but normal. I admit Instagram showed me goal bods and made me settle some goals in my head, this platform truly is inspiring. But Instagram also helped me to embrace my body as it is, cellulite, pimples, stretch marks, love handles and all. I often get asked how did I get rid of my cellulite and I'm just like 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I didn't. Glutes squeezed and bim I have some as well. That's life. That's how women are made, we all have it and we can barely do anything to erase it so what's the point of stressing about it? Sure, being active and drinking lots of water helps but it will never completely erase it unless you're extremely lucky but you're 1% of all the women 👸🏼. Cellulite shouldn't be demonized, it's normal, it's okay, most guys don't even know what it is, we all have it. Embrace yo self and take a step back from everything you see on social media and magazine 🤙🏼
Muscles targeted: quads, glutes, hamstrings, core
I personally don’t like to make compound leg movements too quad dominant. For this reason, I perform walking lunges with a long stride, and choose a barbell over dumbbells as I find DBs pull me forwards onto my quads, whereas a barbell forces you to stay upright, keep the core tight and sit into the glutes🍑👌🏼
Light weight here as we did high rep with some squats supersetted in, but I also love to do these heavy, out of a squat rack, if your gym has the room!
So being a FIT major, one of my classes is a fitness class lead by a personal trainer, who kicks my butt EVERY DAY with a workout. Well yesterday I did a sweaty shredder, and then went to that class and let me tell you, I was sore by the end of the day 😅 But those are my favorite days! I’m reminded how hard I worked and motivated to keep going. What motivates you?
