I understand fully that it's easy to stick to something when it's your passion. I also understand you can stick to something if you really want to achieve great results and if you've decided that it's something that you want.⠀
In many cases, getting in great shape isn't really someone’s passion - it's a short-term goal - and often it's not something people give great thought to.⠀
Now this short-term goal, could well turn into a passion further down the line, I've seen it happen so many times.⠀
Often people think that they've got to plan way further into the future when they even contemplate making some changes to their body shape.⠀
I can guarantee you that many people who are in great shape now (and find it easy to stay in shape), at one point simply decided to start eating a little healthier and joined a gym, before it escalated into something that became a big part of their life.⠀
Many people dip in and out of getting in shape, for months, if not years, before it finally becomes something that's easy to manage.⠀
I think many people overlook the fact that getting in shape is all about change, it's all about adapting your life, social networks, daily habits, and who you are on the inside.⠀
We spend so much of our time, helping people when they dip back into their old habits. It's inevitable when you work with people who are trying to change.⠀
My point to this short article, is to not focus too much on the future right at the beginning. Get started, surround yourself with people who have been through the same changes that you want for yourself. Learn bit by bit, don't get frustrated, enjoy the process and I can assure you it'll all become a huge part of your life before very long at all.⠀
If you focus too much on the future at the beginning, it all becomes way too daunting and you often pull out for the fear of the change you can see ahead.⠀
Enjoy the journey, it's truly life changing.⠀

I wanted to share something that's been on my mind. Unity is a powerful word in our house and it has significant meaning to us. While we've been celebrating the birth of our newest kiddo there still isn't a day that goes by when I don't think about our first. Right after my wife and I got married (5 years ago, today) we had found out that we'd be expecting our first baby. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended early and we never got to meet our sweet girl but we named her Unity. In the wake of the recent hurricanes I can't help but hear this word, her name, and think about how people helping people is one of the greatest forms of love available to us.
Choose to create a good habit this week. Once that habit becomes second nature, try a different one. Here are some simple options you can put into practice right away ---------------
•Drink a glass of water every morning before you do anything else
•Stretch for 5 minutes before bed •Don't look at your phone an hour before bed 📱 •Have a vegetable at every meal 🥒 •Get outside once a day •Play a board game instead of watching tv 📺 ---------------
No me había sentido bien para publicar... pero tenemos que seguir adelante... tomar fuerzas y reflejar mucho luz para ayudar mandando está buena vibra a los que lo necesitan... el martes hice estás hamburguesas veganas de lentejas con quinoa... en lugar de mayonesa hice el dip de coco que use para las alitas el domingo (me encanto!! Tenía yogurt de coco, medio limón y una cucharadita de mostaza). También le puse una capita de hummus con chipotle y cilantro... de toppings use 🍅, pimiento amarillo,lechuga y champiñones con cebollita y al final le puse aguacate! Quedaron deliciosas! Mi esposo es el más carnívoro del mundo y le encantaron! Y mis hijas felices también! Ahí les va la receta:
-1 taza de lentejas crudas remojadas 12 horas, o cocidas en agua.
-1/2 taza de quinoa cocida -1/4 taza de cilantro picadito -1/2 cebolla
-1 diente de ajo -sal y pimienta al gusto
Licúas las lentejas con una cosita de nada de agua... y se hará una cómo masa... le agregas todo lo de la lista y lo mezclas... con esto haces la forma de las hamburguesitas y las pones en un sartén 🍳 con poquitito aceite de coco o de oliva para que se doren y listo!! Decoralas y ponles todo lo que se te ocurra! I've been getting in a bad habit of not doing my workout until the evening. Pancho's started taking morning naps and his nap time is my time to get things done! And then before I know it the days gone, I'm tired and still need to get my workout in! So tomorrow my goal is to get a workout in before noon! Hopefully first thing in the morning 🤞🏼🤞🏼 20 rows

A positive self-concept it's important, and that means you need to know yourself, love yourself and be true to yourself.
If you are confident about who you are and what you have to offer you won't have to wait for external validation to go after your big dreams.
There are three important things that you'll have to do if you want to change the perception you have of yourself.
But always remember, how you see yourself is going to determine what you believe is possible for you to achieve.
If you are going to be more, do more and have more it is important that you feel good about yourself and believe in your potential.
From a nature standpoint you can be talented, but if your self-concept is negative, it will undermine your ability to manifest what's possible.
If you want to develop a positive self-concept you will first have to acknowledge that you need to make some changes.
Remember before any change is going to take place you have to become aware, but after that awareness, it's your responsibility to change them.
I must say, change is not always easy so in the process don't be too hard on yourself.
But what's going to make the happen is you staying committed to what you say you are going to do especially if you really want to see improvement in your life.
By the way, if you haven't already identified your strengths and weaknesses you may want to do do. Also, no matter what, be true to who you are.
GET IN THE HABIT OF VALIDATING YOURSELF.
