These oils mean so much to me. The fact that my baby is teething (again 🙄) and has had a runny nose and fever all day and was having a hard time going to sleep tonight breaks my heart. But the fact that I have the tools to help her feel better and get some rest without having to rely on western medicine and the crazy side effects makes me feel so much better as a mom. And the fact that she reaches for my oil box when she’s not feeling well makes me feel like I’m doing something right. 💕

Fear is only an illusion, distraction and for entertainment purposes only. Fear throws you off your path when you surrender your power to it, however it has no power over you. Even the control stories, institutions tell about an evil controlling and punishing "he" God, which are all mental, fear and humanly created made-up stories; intended to control and manipulate. These experiences hold you prisoner to the lower densities of earth. When we experience awareness beyond form and mental objects into formless presence, we experience infinite love. The Infinite Source is who we are, just like God or the universe is the Infinite Source, which is the origin of creation love. Fear is not the new love. The more we heal our lives and stop living from separation and mental control from the past or other's beliefs, the more the world will birth through infinite love. You never have to earn love.

I've recently been learning about the difference between THC and CBD. To put it simply, THC is psychoactive and produces the familiar "stoned" effect, while THC is just for pain relief. I don’t have to tell you, you know what makes you feel good! What you may not know is that you could be self-sabotaging by not making the space or time daily to consistently commit to doing what makes us feel whole. What does this look like? Using terms like; I’m too busy to do that so I won’t meditate today or I will just grab some food on the run or I will exercise double-time tomorrow
When we say ‘I don’t have time’ to ourselves what we are really saying is ‘That’s not a priority for me’. Truth bomb right there, and that can flow into all parts of your wellbeing. Call yourself out on the WHY you self-sabotage when you know what feels good. Get real with yourself. Pre-empt the excuses and counteract them with action. Self-sabotage is a nice way of saying, living through fear and we have two motivators in life LOVE or FEAR, what will you choose?

It's kinda hard to share my meals when we're minimalists through and through so make the same thing for most meals.
But after almost a month of raw till 4 my health is still improving (the best it's been in years) and I look a trillion times healthier than I did while eating this way but ALSO eating high fat processed junk on top that just trashed my digestion and made me feel gross.
I'm now actually sticking to the most science-backed way of eating 95% of the time and it's hard to imagine going back to the old diet. I know I'm banging on about my diet but it's just because all the rumours are true and your mental health is so strongly linked to eating well and everyone should get to feel happy from their food. 🤷🏼♀️
It'll probably be another month before we have a functional kitchen so once I have a space to cook and take photos I can hopefully put my fundraising ebook out in November! Can I share something with you for just a moment? I used to be sick all the time. Starting back in 2011 I would get full blown #bronchitis within days of catching a tiny cold. 🤒😷 Every fall and early spring I'd be at the doctor for heavy doses of steroids, breathing treatments, and inhalers. I've had it for all 3 of my last pregnancies. When I was pregnant with the twins I had bronchitis at the end of my first AND third trimesters. 😩😞 I've been on a search for wellness for years and in 2016 I found the missing pieces. How does Brooklyn eat nourishing foods? Exposure and patience. I don't "get her" or "make her" eat the foods we eat. I expose, encourage, don't force, and educate her on what the foods do for her. "Mama, these burnt carrots are ORANGE so that means I won't get sick!" Ok so the burnt carrots at @moveablefeastco taste insane which helps. Brooklyn also ❤️s their kale caesar. Seasoning and flavor are huge when it comes to them enjoying the food.

One of the most important steps for me besides breathing and meditating which can be hard in moments of sheer anxiety is to eat rooting foods.
Enter in the sweet potato.
Roasted sweet potato, Black beans, oven roasted San marzano tomatoes, microgreens and avocado.
I’m almost feeling like myself. A friendly reminder that sometimes we need extra space to feel shit. Let that happen.
And buy yourself chocolate. That helps too.

Food is a glorious, inevitable part of the human experience.
And yet we've lost our connection to it. Its purpose in our lives has become confusing, muddled, emotional.
We label foods like cookies and pasta and ice cream as "bad" and kale and salmon and avocados as "good". When we eat the bad stuff we think of ourselves as bad. As having no willpower. As worthless. As fat. When we eat the good things we give ourselves a pat on the back and share it in a photo to instagram.
We overeat. We under eat. We binge eat. We diet. We "anti-diet".
We fear being in a 40 foot radius of the foods that trigger us. We won't keep them in our homes. We won't look at them, smell them, contemplate them.
If we do eat these foods we rush our way through them. Eating them as quickly as possible. Eating them in secrecy. Pouring our guilt and shame all over them. And then running away again.
But the thing is, these actions, these beliefs, these behaviors have nothing to do with food. Nothing.
Food is nourishment. Food is delicious. Food is necessary. Food is energy. Food is pleasure. But above all, food is food. That's it.
Our "relation with food" is not about food. Our "relationship with food" is a direct reflection of our relationship with ourselves.
People do not develop eating disorders because food is an issue. People develop eating disorders because of deep seeded beliefs, suppressed emotions, physical and psychological trauma(s). The same reasons why people develop alcoholism, drug addictions and sex addictions.
Yes, alcohol can be addicting. Yes, there are highly palatable foods. But alcohol and food are not the issue.
My war with food ended the moment I realized it was not about food. The moment I stopped looking to food to fix my problems. The moment I stopped seeking "food freedom".
My war with food ended with the blink of an eye. Sure, just like any war, there was plenty of leftover destruction. Rebuilding and repairing needed to be done.
But the war was over, and that is all that mattered.
Think about your own war with food. Can you call peace right now? Can you begin to look at yourself with truth in your eyes?
