1. Fill a casserole dish with chicken (bacon wrapped, if you’re into that) broccoli, and sweet potatoes.
2. Glaze with avocado oil and season to your liking.
3. Bake at 385 degrees for about an hour.
4. Enjoy a plate for dinner and pack the rest up into containers for lunches!

I ran today!! This marks the third time I've ran sprints in January and it feels good. I always thought "I HATE running. Running SUCKS." 😑 But what I actually hate is endurance running. Isn't it amazing how there seems to be no end to the little healing miracles Mother Nature provides? Shepherd's Purse, or Capsella bursa-pastoris, is a member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae). Despite a longstanding reputation for relieving bleeding (it was even used in both the First and Second World Wars to stop injured soldiers bleeding), this edible plant is unfamiliar to many women coping with heavy menstrual bleeding.
A common symptom in #perimenopause , heavy menstrual bleeding is likely due to an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone. It can be physically and emotionally uncomfortable, prevent women from exercising or leaving their homes, make them anxious at work or in social situations, and even cause dangerously low iron levels (anemia). It's no small matter, yet many — many — women complain about not receiving any real solutions from their primary health professional.
If you're at your wit's end trying to cope with this very common gynecological problem — and all the other nuisances of perimenopause including #bloating , #brainfog , #hotflashes and #moodswings — consult your primary care physician. How do pharmaceuticals end up in the environment?
Let's take a step back. These days, we're prescribed medications for a variety of health ailments including high blood pressure, anxiety, pain, depression, and sleep. Sometimes we take them as directed; sometimes we don't. At times we experience side effects and are told to discontinue the medication. Other times we finish our treatment early.

SUPER GREEN FRITTERS 🥦🥚
Here’s a great way to get your kids eating superfood greens! Great for school lunches or a Saturday morning brekky!
-2 spring onions
-2 cloves garlic
-1 handful fresh parsley
-1 handful baby kale or spinach
-1 small head broccoli
-2 handfuls corn kernels
-1/2 block feta cheese, crumbled
-2-3 heaped tbsp gluten free flour
-seasoning to taste
-2-3 tbsp unscented coconut oil, ghee, or light olive oil for frying
Throw onions, garlic, herbs and baby greens into a food processor and process until finely chopped.
Add broccoli and pulse to a fine chop.
Beat eggs in a large bowl and add broccoli mix, corn kernels and feta.
Add one tbsp at a time of flour to create a thickish consistency.
Season really well.
Gently heat oil in a non-stick pan.
Add tablespoons of the mixture, flattening down with the spoon, and cook gently until golden on each side.
Drain on paper towel.
You can substitute coconut flour, however add a little at a time as it is super absorbent! - you will need about 1 tbsp.
Great for kids lunch boxes and pre made brekky on the run.
Cauliflower is delicious in place of broccoli.
They freeze really well, so easy to make a batch in advance.

LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE! ✨💪 I’ve undoubtedly become more successful in terms of achieving my fitness goals since I started understanding and appreciating that success is not usually as simple as a meal and training plan or adhering to a set of numbers or a formula. The body and mind are connected and the body is a complex system that operates as a whole. How much food you eat and how you train are obviously key components of any fitness plan, but so are nutrition (ie actually making sure you’re getting the right micro, as well as macro, nutrients every day), sleep, recovery, hydration, stress levels (and how you manage stress), mobility and mindset (and your view of yourself and your attitude to your body or “body image” feeds in here ... as do eating issues or food related hang ups that impact so many of us at some time or another). In that sense, I think even seemingly straightforward physical fitness goals (fat loss, muscle gain, increased strength or power, better performance in a skill or sport) become goals to approach holistically, ie by looking at the whole picture. This is the kind of approach I want to take as a coach 🙌 It is also is why I don’t just post about obvious bodybuilding topics - because for me to be successful in bodybuilding (and develop my fitness generally) I need to pay close attention to other, slightly less obvious or traditional factors. It’s also why I continue to educate myself as widely as possible - in addition to more nutrition and training courses, I’m continuing my study of yoga and am hoping to add Ayurveda and mindfulness to my skill sets this year ✨☺️💪 Have a beautiful start to your weekend! 🙏🌱 #veganathlete#holistichealth#wellness
There are several ways one can use essential oils to enhance their lives and wellness.
The most popular is for our body's health, Right? Yes. And that's a fantastic way to put oils to use in your home!
In our home, while we do use essential oils to promote physical health, we mostly use them for emotional and energetic health! I believe these are mostly one in the same. If we feel good emotionally, our body is usually emitting a higher frequency, and when we feel shitty we vibrate at a lower frequency.
Vetiver essential oil can be used to promote a restful night's sleep, no doubt about it! But did you know that vetiver is super grounding since it comes from the ROOT of the plant?
If you're feeling scattered, and unfocused, chances are that you are not grounded, and you need to stabilize your root chakra! Try inhaling vetiver straight from the bottle (energetic use is super cost effective 🤣). You could also try a drop of oil on your big toe (use way with caution, it could make you drowsy!). Tip: pick up some dropper tops as this oil is very thick and won't drip from the bottle.

Can you believe ALL the STUFF in soaps? Stuff that has been SCIENTIFICALLY proven to be harmful & toxic; hormone disrupters, killers of our good gut bacteria, etc etc etc. And yet, we use this like it’s no big thang. Especially when it smells good. And c’mon, who doesn’t like the foam?! I am totally guilty of it myself - a reformed bath & body works shopper (which is how I ended up with this particular foaming bottle and cute bottle cover). The last time I shopped there, I really had no qualms, I thought, “it’s just soap, I wash it off. I can’t be 100% all the time.” But. I brought it home, used it a couple times and realized it’s not JUST soap. The scent stuck on my skin. It didn’t wash off. Which meant, it went into my body. And my bloodstream. As a person who battles PCOS, battled infertility, battles ailments that are highly affected by toxins/chemicals, etc., this was a poison I was justifying. (It’s proven science, y’all.) So I started “making” my own smell good foaming soaps that are more effective in cleaning, without all the harming of self (and equally sensitive son). Castile soap, water, essential oils. Boom! Done. .
- I prefer @drbronner hemp baby soap. It’s unscented.
- Essential Oil of choice
- Warm water (not hot)
- I start by filling my bottle about 2/3 with warm water.
- Then I fill up with soap (soap after water so it doesn’t foam and spill out of you did reverse)
- I put the top in and give a quick couple shakes to mix the soap and water, then add my e.o. of choice. (About 3-5 drops OnGuard and 10-15 drops wild orange is the go to for me! I like the fresh scent of oranges mixed with that spice this time of year) - put the lid back on and shake again. - now use! .
(Ps- there is no judgment here. My hubs has his own bathroom and still uses that other stuff... he is a pillar of perfect health and is not ready to give up a lot of his “likes”. I get it.)

Looked it up in Modern Essentials - filled a glass with water, 2 Drops each Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, and added Copaiba. Itching started subsiding quickly, a couple hours later, completely gone!
