Genetically modified "fast-growing" salmon awaiting FDA approval!
AquaBounty’s genetically modified salmon grows twice as fast as the conventional variety — the photo shows two same-age salmon with the genetically altered one in the rear. The company says the fish has the same flavor, texture, color and odor as a regular salmon; however, the debate continues over whether the fish is safe to eat.
Genetically engineered Atlantic salmon has an added growth hormone from a Chinook salmon that allows the fish to produce growth hormone year-round. Scientists were able to keep the hormone active by using a gene from an eel-like fish called an ocean pout, which acts as an “on switch” for the hormone.
If the FDA approves the sale of the salmon, it will be the first time the government has allowed modified animals to be marketed for human consumption. According to federal guidelines, the fish would not have to be labeled as genetically modified.

We value ourselves on offering nutrition advice and guidance through correcting what is specific to each individual. No more fad diets or quick fixes! Calorie deficit does contribute to weight loss there is no argument there. However, it does not manage your stress levels! There is a constant rise in mental illnesses, dementia, Alzheimer's, eating disorders, thyroid problems etc. Our food chain is far too processed and stress levels in the body are elevated due to lack of nutrition and lack of support and awareness for mental health also!

I'm about to get really awkward for a lot of people but I know there are lots o ladies out there that can relate. Sooo here it goes. After having my beloved daughter almost 13 years ago I started growing BLACK chin hairs. Super sexy and not embarrassing at all right? Wrong!! I have tweezers with me everywhere I go and I pluck and wax like a mad lady. BUT since I started plexus one thing that has changed is the amount of black hairs on my chin. This is a hot topic in sports performance right now, and I believe it's due to a misconception within the literature. ⠀
Here are the facts from the literature:⠀
1. Exercise causes DOMS⠀
2. DOMS is microtrauma, and when you recover from the DOMS, your body is stronger - this IS one of the main adaptations to training.⠀
3. Antioxidant therapy pre/post workout improves recovery from exercise and reduces DOMS. This is NOT always a good thing.⠀
4. Antioxidant therapy is harmful to long-term athletic performance as you have trained your body to rely on the antioxidants for healing.⠀
The misconception in the literature is that antioxidants improve muscle recovery, leading the reader to believe this is a good thing. There are certain instances when this might be an appropriate strategy, but this is a small percentage of cases.⠀
If you don't want DOMS, then don't train. If you want to get bigger, stronger, faster, leaner, etc. then DOMS is a part of the equation and you need to accept that to some degree.⠀
