I’m all a bit over the shop thinking about what I am going to write...because where do I begin? .
I am just telling stories of things that have occurred throughout my relationship and in no particular order.
I’ve ben in my SS life for over 5 years now and he is a precious young thing that I adore. But it hasn’t always been easy, but in saying that humour has gotten me through a lot and HE. IS. HILARIOUS.
Moderately early into the ‘three of us’ relationship, my SS saw an ad for a dating website on television. Without skipping a beat, he turns to his dad and says, ‘Dad you should go on e-Harmony and get a girlfriend.’ All while I was sitting right there.
I could have gotten really upset by this, but as I looked over I saw his wry smile creep across his face. I saw his Dad’s face turn from being mortified to a smile creeping over. His sense of humour has been one of those things I’ve taken and used to help build a friendship with him. Sometimes we can be a little different to his dad and pick on him or sometimes he picks on me. But it’s definitely been a tool used to cut through the ice.
We still joke about e-Harmony and even when watching the movie Walter Mitty we got a kick out of it.

A man who has been travelling South America for 2 months thinks he is the first to ever travel off the beaten path. It is believed the man has been avoiding big cities and main attractions and genuinely believes he is the first.
. “Yeah I’ve just been going to small towns and hanging out with locals. You wouldn’t believe the things you see when you throw away the travel guide” the 28 year old said, sipping on a freshly roasted Peruvian coffee bean latte.
. “I did a couple of the big things, Machu Picchu, the big Jesus statue and that part of Columbia where Narcos was, but aside from that it’s just been small towns and authentic travel”.
However, it appears the man is confused as to what constitutes “off the beaten path” listing the Bolivian Salt Flats and the Iguassu Falls as secret places that travellers had never been too.
. “The places no one talks about are so much better, I can’t believe no one else does this”.
The man explained that he had now stopped washing his hair and only wore clothes made of hemp for political reasons.
. “I defy anyone to do the travelling I’ve done and not be a different person. All my mates don’t really get it, they’re busy with their typical travels and believing the government”.
