Surrender to yoga,
for where is the conflict when the truth is known?
Where is the disease when the mind is clear?
Where is the death when the breath is controlled?

After 3hrs of morning yoga, I'm grateful. 🙏 #poncho
Happy Tuesday Friends!😘
Let's play a little game, shall we?
@tiny.kirsty has posted this a couple times and I remember it making me so happy reading through the comments, checking out new accounts, and feeling all the good vibes that were spread by this little game ☺️ .
I'll start it off with Kirsty ( @tiny.kirsty ) because this woman is SUPER inspirational! She stands up loud and proud for body positivity and de-sexualizing the human body, is the co-creator of the e-book @hiittoinvert (use code goldenpothosyoga for 15% off 😉), is honest & open in her captions, and her posts are just the cherry on top. She's always working towards bettering herself while encouraging others to do the same. Love ya girl! 😘
Feel free to comment more than once and come back later to keep the good vibes flowing☀️
There's my broken wing..... This season is going to be very core and leg focused! Can't put my full weight on my right arm... And it's funny because I've realized how arm-intensive my poses are.... I can already see how this is gonna be another learning experience. Sigh.
Gomukhasana, or cow face pose, dedicated to cancer awareness. Please follow our host Brenda at @yogini_444 for daily motivation notes and more. .
. *** You are invited to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by joining us in the #loveyourbodynomatterwhatyourbattle challenge! Join in at any time. We want to see a sea of pink posts, so post a yoga pose of your choice and let plenty of pink show in the photo. .
. *** I have tagged 3 people inviting them to join us for a day, a week, or the rest of the month. Please also tag 3 people who aren’t already participating and ask them to do the same. Men, women, all are welcome to post. If you can’t do yoga, please post something pink anyway. If you are not a survivor or don’t know someone who has been affected by this disease, please post anyway! .
Sponsors: everyone who participates! There are no “prizes”, per se; growing awareness and then a cure are the prizes we seek. .
Host’s notes: Join in for a day, a week, here and there or the entire month of October. It's time for my 2nd annual Yoga for a Cause supporting Breast Cancer Awareness! As a breast cancer survivor, 14 years now and thankful, I'm going to go out on a limb, again, by myself with no official yoga challenge, per say because I've recruited zero sponsors. …Yogis and yoginis welcome. Let's make this cause on IG global. PLEASE REPOST THIS FLYER TO HELP SPREAD THE AWARENESS. .

You are the guardian that holds the keys to the gates of your world. If you don't stand guard and take care of them, no one else would.
With the first winds of winter biting down on our heels up in Toronto, figured we could all use a throw back to the summer sun. Likely one of the final poses in this past month of arm balance poses, this is a pose made famous by a couple of the Canadian prime ministers, the peacock pose. This pose requires work on some forearm, wrist, and shoulder flexibility along with core strength. Highly suggest proper warm-up before practising this pose to avoid forearm/wrist injuries. Start in any kneeling pose. Press your forearms together in such a way that the elbows are tucked firmly against your hip bones with fingers pointed towards the ground. Slowly lean forward until both hands are firmly on the ground. Begin tilting forward until both legs lift off the floor. Continue holding balance while lengthening out both legs to form a straight line from head to toe. For those more advanced, the forearms and elbows are touching. Mine are still a couple hand widths apart. To reduce stress on the wrist for those starting out, the fingers/hands can be turned towards the side. Over time, start working towards bringing them back. One also may want to consider starting off with their chin touching the ground before lifting their legs off the ground while they are in the process of building core strength and control.
Next Thursday I will be holding the first Candlelit Restorative Yoga and Meditation class at the d.@rt centre in Hedge End. 🕯🕯🕯
From 6:30-8pm we will move through a selection of poses designed to help increase flexibility and release tension with the aid of pillows, blocks, bands and blankets.
I like to call this class moving meditation as there are many opportunities to close your eyes and use the poses and postures to heal from within.
This class solidified my belief in Yoga is about how it feels not what it looks like. 🙏🏻 There are only a few spaces left and I need to know numbers as this class is not run on a drop in basis due to the amount of mats and props I need to bring. ✨

So it may come as a surprise that up until 3 days ago, I actually did not have a ‘regular’ studio practice over the past 3 years. Sure, I’ve done yoga at the gym or at home, a couple of random drop-ins with local teacher friends in the city, and a couple of yoga events, but there was no studio I could call Home. I decided to take a bit of a hiatus from the yoga studio circuit after 5 years of religious practice. I’m excited to announce that that break is finally over, and I’m recommitting myself back in the studio! After 3 days, and 4 classes at @yogatreestudios, I’m starting to reminisce that feeling and sense of community that you get practicing and sharing your energy with others. 🙏❤️☺️ I finally took my first double class last night (since a long time ago), and slept like a baby! I’m excited to see where this continued journey is going to take me and learn a couple of new tricks on the way✨Big-ups to Kyle, Sandra, and Oliver at @yogatreestudios #richmondhill for their amazing energy lead practice 🤘
@queeniephair @jonathanphair @thelittleyogini @asanavanessa hope to make my way into the city soon to take one of your classes!

Have been feeling bumped about how much I’ve fallen back and will miss out in work, yoga and life for potentially half a year. It’s like crossing never ending road blocks and it just kills your optimism and drive because you can’t seem to give the full 100 percent that you know you could have. Chanced upon @michaeljameswong ‘s post on #fuckfeelings - less obsession, more living. Guess it’s time stop blaming yourself for bad results you don’t control. #needthisbook#throwback#nodeerswerekilled
Nisargadatta. #ekapadarajakapotasanaII#backbend#nisargadatta
“A strong woman looks a challenge dead in the eye and gives it a wink” 😘 Love this community of strong women, who keep me motivated every single day. May we be them, and may we raise them 💪🏻💖🙌🏻 Pregnancy is no joke, and neither is moving your body as it changes daily. But, I love a good challenge, so I will find the fun and the ease in the challenge of every day for as long as I can. Then, I will rest (until baby #3 gets here!) 😘 📸: @michellerosephoto 🙏🏻 Head on over to this amazing lady’s profile for deets on winning your own mini shoot with her 🙌🏻👌🏻
Day 9 of #StripDownAsanas3 is a pose with a bind, #mermaidpose
When you become pregnant with your second child, you're so excited that your #1 will have someone to play with. Then as the days go on, and your time alone with your little one grows shorter, you become more and more terrified that there's no possible way you could ever give as much love and affection to a second little mini and still cling to your first the way you always have. As you go into your third trimester, you start doing all the things, and having all the fun, and crying every night because you feel like you're giving up your first born. Then one day, there's another member of your family, and all of that nonsense is forgotten, and your heart is just so full.
