Spent a few hours today in the kitchen cooking up some clean treats for Halloween , and I have to tell you , it felt so good to be back in the kitchen.
I didn't leave pastry because I stopped loving to bake. I left because of the kitchen environment I was in was so negative it was affecting me as a person. I don't want to spend 8 hours of my day complaining or listening to complaining. That's not what life is about.
That is why I am so glad I found coaching. It allows me to be happy and positive in life and it's okay. Nobody saying I hate how much you smile. I mean , Are you for real ?
But to be happy in a job where I work on myself , help others find their happy PLUS bake delicious treats? Yes please 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 This life isn't for everyone. I hustle everyday. There are good , bad , and ugly moments. But if you want to work in a job where it's your goal everyday to find your happy and balance , along with helping others , I'm looking for 2 people to join me on my team Sweetly Balanced.
Because life should be sweet. You should never have to apologize for smiling , only help others smile more.

How do you prepare for a busy day with chronic illness? We find time for those we love, and sometimes a larger day or few days allows us to see, care, and celebrate those we love. Those weekends are so lovely, but insist on a lot of prep work and a lot of recovery time. Figuring out what you need to soak those moments in the best way is so important! This weekend was lovely! I got to spend time with family and friends celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday! It was so fun to be able to fill a first weekend in a while with exploring the city and going to some fun events. BUT it required a lot of prep and today was a full day of rest! A lot of people that surround chronic illness don’t get the opportunity to truly see what it takes to go into an event for someone with chronic illness. We try to make certain events happen, but instead of just getting cute and going, we have a lot of prep work such as; making sure we wear the right gear to feel comfortable, we have to make sure we take breaks to go sit down away from the crowd, we have to make sure we have rest days the day before and after, at the end of the day we will probably put on a contraption to reduce swelling or pain, the days following require literally nothing from us, more of our treatments, and so much more. These moments are few, making us rare birds, but we make time to make sure the people we love are cared for in the ways we can!
I love cooking... It's wind down time in the hope of something tasty to come.
It's a good time to write as my mind is open to those subliminal stories hiding away.
The chopping can become a beat, the salt a high hat, pepper the shaker... #chili#brooklyn#cooking#riffing#justkeepsmiling
How about a little "Move it Monday" for ya!!! Here is a quick 4 minute core circuit! (Repeat 2 or 3 times for even more of a burn 😉💪🏼) If Conner and I can do this... we KNOW you can too!!! 😃🙋🏼 Make Monday count! You got this!!! 👏🏼
A dear friend sent me this photo the other day and at first I was so quick to pick out all the flaws and hate it. After a while of judging I realized I was smiling, and that's a lot prettier than all of the ugly made up things in my head. Also I kinda look like a witch, and they kinda rule 😂 Moral of the story: #loveyourself#justkeepsmiling 🤗
Blooper from my vlog of me trying to wipe away my dark eye circles 😂😂 haha spoiler it didn't work. vlog is now up all about what a Herx reaction from Lyme disease treatment feels like. I've had a lot of friends and family ask me this and it's super hard to put into words but hopefully it's helpful!! These past few days have been super rough but I'm in it to win it! (And by win it I mean get Lyme in remission!)
Excited to say I'm going back to a lifestyle I've missed!! Ultra running and training has been awesome and I love that as well. But after breaking my tailbone (as well as spraining my left knee and ankle) I really want to take some time to go back to my love of lifting! It will all work towards more strength and stability in the long run 😉 no pun intended. ❤️💪🏼🍑🏋🏻♀️ My first week back at it 👌🏼
