Ahhhhh that first gym session in and it feels like I woke up in BEAST MODE 💪🏾😍🔥. Also did you see what the scale did 🤷🏾♀️ Another pound went away and my pina colada ketones are on there way 🙌🏾🙌🏾. This feels amazing waking up and slaying the day and the plus side wifey is about to be at her lowest weight since the babies were born 💥🎉✨.
Want a quick sauce / dip that could literally be eaten with anything?! Throw together two ripe avocados, 1/4 cup sour cream, a little lime juice and as much siracha you like ( I used alot and then some 😁) . 🥑🥑
I am a newbie looking for some advice. I want to make sure that keto is something I can stick to you in the long term. I love the benefits I have noticed after only a few weeks, and I am really happy with the food options. I want to make sure that this is a lifestyle I can maintain, and it is not just for short-term gains. ----------------------- -----------------------
For those of you that have had success with keto long term, what is your philosophy on cheating? Will it totally mess me up to have one meal a week where I eat carbs and have some treats that are not considered keto friendly? I am not talking about going crazy and totally stuffing my face with everything sugarfield and loaded with carbs. Just thinking about some of those treats that I miss while being on keto. -----------------------
Back in our hunter gatherer days we only ate fruit when it was in season (summer) and we ate it so we could fatten up to get through the winter! Read on if you want to know more: Fructose has no immediate effect on our insulin and blood sugar levels.
HOWEVER, our liver never evolved to handle the level of fructose we consume in this day & age. And fruit has been bred for generations to increase it’s fructose content.
Our liver responds to this level of fructose by turning much of it into fat and shipping to our fat tissue.
The glucose with the fructose raises blood sugar levels and stimulates insulin secretion and gets the fat cells in the mood to store whatever calories come their way included the fat generated in the liver from the fructose.
The more we eat these sugars the more our body adapts by turning them into fat.
It’s Friday! 🎉 Tonight that means date night and dinner out for us, but dang it I’m hungry now. So this was the perfect, quick pick-me-up. I just made one of my microwave cheese tostadas with some sharp cheddar, and topped it with mashed avocado, lime, and Kosher salt. So good. 😋🥑Happy Friday! #lowcarb#lowcarbdiet#keto#ketogenicdiet#lchf#atkins#nuch
