I am exhausted from this work week already and counting down the hours until the weekend! Comfort food was calling my name tonight, so I whipped up another @thedailydoseofpepper recipe! Italian Sloppy Joes 😍 This is my first time making these, and WOW! This sauce I want to put on pasta now too, it’s so so good! Consuming liquid calories is a super common mistake I see sabotaging dieters left and right. Mostly because it's not always obvious...

You see, there are LOADS of liquid calorie that sneak their way into things people don't always think about such as coffee creamers, flavored waters (some brands, like Vitamin Water, have calorie and calorie-free versions that look identical!), teas, green juices, etc.

So if you're currently struggling to lose weight despite making healthier food choices, one of the first things I'd do is make sure you're NOT unknowingly taking in sneaky calories from liquids 💦❌

If you discover that you ARE drinking calories, either eliminate them, or at the very least, make sure you're accounting for ‘em in your daily food log 📝

Personally, I think drinking calories while dieting is silly 🤡. You're much better off eating your calories from whole foods (like fruits, meats, and veggies) that’ll keep you full and drinking water/zero-calorie alternatives.

I've been beating myself up tonight because I only made it 3 days into my super low carb week before I cheated and ate a McFlurry and a cookie. My ketones are now at .1 and my glucose at 107. It's a constant battle in my mind over whether or not I'll give in, and I gotta tell you, I've been on the losing side of that battle 70% of the time the past two months. I still feel good, and I feel slimmer, and people are noticing...but I tend to pick myself apart where I can and this is it. Am I gaining? No. Am I losing? Barely. I have a long way to go and more than anything I just want to be able to heal my relationship with food and not be scared I'm going to gain everything back the minute I reach my goal. But y'all.. it's a damn process. I'm not gonna be perfect overnight. Maybe some of you are good at doing a strict 20-30g net carbs a day and NEVER cheating. Well I'm happy you found what works. Unfortunately that "I can't have that" mindset makes me binge eat out of control. So I'm a work in progress.
Tonight I made this list as a visual reminder of what HAS changed already. Trying to not lose sight of that today and quit telling myself I'm a failure.

I want to take minute to C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E these people right here!! For the past few weeks, this group of amazing people have been kicking butt in our online bootcamp. Not only are they really transforming their own health, they are empowering and supporting each other within our private group. 
Each day I check in with my peeps, I see the following: ~ SWEATY SELFIES ~ ENCOURAGING WORDS ~ FUNNY MEMES ~ MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES ~ RECIPE SHARES ~ TRUTH BOMBS ~ CELEBRATIONS ~ TRANSFORMATIONS

Some people have asked me why I do what I do. Why do I choose to work a "part-time" job when I already have a full-time job. Why I stick with this company 3.5 years later. Why not a different network marketing/home party-type company. How long will I continue to do this---Ummm, FOREVER! :-) I'm here to stay, BB can't get rid of me haha. 
The truth is, this company is EVERYTHING I believe in. Quality fitness programming for EVERYBODY. Nutrition programs created by experts but easy enough for all of us to follow. Supplements created by Harvard-trained scientists that are also the OFFICIAL sports nutrition supplements of IRONMAN (umm, need I say more?!?) and a daily "shake" (omg I hate when people call it that lol) that has literally transformed my health from the inside out. 
BUT MOST OF ALL.....This opportunity has brought these wonderful individuals (and many many more) into my life. We have worked hard to create this AMAZING supportive community, a place where everyone feels acknowledged, appreciated, understood, empowered AND dang, they have been seeing some KILLER results too!

My Sarah has been getting bad blisters from wearing her Fitbit. She would switch which wrists she would wear it on but that didn't help. SOOO, I came up with this genius idea! I cut up a sock so her Fitbit sensor would still be touching her skin. It totally worked!!

LONG POST🙇‍♀️. So lately I’ve decided to change my eating habits. To try and eat according to macros, well I have no fucking clue what I’m doing so my fats are always way to high, protein is to low and I can hit my carbs somewhat. I’m maintaining my weight around 191. So since I changed from keto to macros I’ve gained about 5 pounds within the first day, which is something I except due to water weight and what not. I get my gallon of water in everyday, but I just feel so lost with my eating. I’m going to the gym and I had my 3rd meet with my #committofit trainer so November 29 is my last one meaning I’ve been going to the gym  3+ times a week SO NOW I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT THIS DIET THING SO I CAN LOSE THE LAST 30 pounds !!!!! it’s honestly eating me alive, or more like I’m trying not to eat everything from it stressing me out 🤷‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️ I know this is my journey and with any journey there’s going to be confusion, hopelessness, anger,happiness and every other feeling with each passing day, but I didn’t think I would let some of the little things bother me this much.  So here I am. Venting to the world. I’m very proud of where I’ve made it. I don’t cry leaving the house anymore because I feel like I may offend someone with being “to fat” , I feel pretty, it doesn’t hurt to workout like it use to, I can walk up my stairs without pain and I can get into a vehicle and off the couch like a normal healthy human. Depression sucks. Being sick sucks. Feeling like you're worthless because your body is always worn down to the point you can't do anything anymore also sucks. You know, I started this account to be honest, and as much as this pain sucks, what sucks worse is beating yourself up over it. As a binge eater and someone who struggles with depression, it's easy to go through life saying that I hate myself, but I want to start changing that language. Let's stop hating ourselves. Let's stop thinking we've done something so wrong that the only thing we can do to punish ourselves is by letting ourselves become isolated. If you struggle with mental health, physical health, or honestly anything, know that you deserve love and you deserve light. You deserve kindness. You deserve joy. You are human, perfectly imperfect. Pumpkin Spice Chicken:
8oz chicken from @thepomegranatemarket 
1/3 cup almond flour
1 tsp @traderjoes’s Pumpkin Spice 
1 egg
Salt+pepper

Mix almond flour and pumpkin spice in one plate. In a separate plate whisk up the egg. Dip chicken in to egg and cover both sides, and then in flour mix - and then repeat egg and flour again. Sprinkle both sides with s+p. Preheat a pan with Pam on medium, and cook chicken until gloriously ready 🎃

Handful of crinkle cut butternut squash from TJ
3 small mixed sweet potatoes from @organic_circle - sliced
1 black radish from OC - sliced 
Salt+pepper and EVOO

Preheat oven to 400. Spray a baking dish with Pam and then add the veggies. Sprinkle with s+p and EVOO and mix. Bake for 20 mins, then raise temp to 450 and bake for 6-8 mins more. Done and done 🍂.

But in my opinion, what's worse than the outrageous price you pay for something that takes 5 minutes to make is the fact that meal plans are pretty much useless for long-term success.

2️⃣ You stick to it perfectly, but inevitably stop making progress and aren't sure what you should do to continue seeing changes

Now, having said all that, I DO think meal plans can be beneficial, especially for folks who're busy and don't have time to be constantly thinking about what's next on the menu.

The trick is for YOU to be in charge of creating them based on your lifestyle and preferences. What's more, they should be flexible for when things come up, and you need to adjust.

These four steps are perfect for building your own personalized fat loss meal plan. You might be thinking, "This is a bit simple, isn't it Carter?..." and that's exactly the point!

Today I did something I haven’t done in years. (honestly probably about 4 years)... RUN. I haven’t run (ACTUALLY RUN) since playing lacrosse in high school. 
I’ve always steered clear of the treadmill and running in general because I assumed I couldn’t. (And I still assumed that today when I got on the treadmill) 
But, I started this workout/diet plan where I need to run every day after lifting, sooooooooo I had to bite the bullet and just do it. 
And honestly, I didn’t do as badly as I thought I was going to. I ran mostly at a 6.0 pace, until my headphones started sliding out of my ears, then my pace dropped significantly. I did 8.0 sprints the last 3 minutes, decreasing the speed 0.5 every 15 seconds. 
So, 2 miles in 25 minutes may not be the best time, but I’m proud of myself for trying it! It’s a good baseline and now only up from here! 😁
Also, if anyone has a recommendation on good headphones that actually stay in/over your ear while running that would be greatly appreciated!! I’m looking at getting Beats, but if I don’t have to spend $300+ on headphones that’d be ideal. 😇

4.4 POUNDS to go/Day 164: my weight has been going up and down like crazy. Despite eating half a pizza on Saturday night 11pm, and tons of candy (goodbye ketogenic diet LOL), I actually lost weight! I am so grateful to all of you (especially those who don't normally reach out) who did reach out. Some of you said I've inspired you, which is so bizarre because I rely on all of you for support. In the last five weeks, I've now integrated swimming 1x/week (0.5 km) & yoga 3x/week (both of which I still hate!), dance 1x/week, gym workout 5-6x/week and core every single day. I still follow the intermittent fasting (between 12-16 hours fast a day), do not eat rice/pasta/potatoes/bread (except that damn pizza!) and I've incorporated a total change to strength training. Let's make #proudskinnybitch into #proudrippedbitch now! I set out to achieve my 180 lb Goal weight in 6 months (by Nov 7) but not sure if I'll make it. But hey, I might get pretty close. 4.4 POUNDS to go/Day 164: my weight has been going up and down like crazy. Despite eating half a pizza on Saturday night 11pm, and tons of candy (goodbye ketogenic diet LOL), I actually lost weight! I am so grateful to all of you (especially those who don't normally reach out) who did reach out. Some of you said I've inspired you, which is so bizarre because I rely on all of you for support. In the last five weeks, I've now integrated swimming 1x/week (0.5 km) & yoga 3x/week (both of which I still hate!), dance 1x/week, gym workout 5-6x/week and core every single day. I still follow the intermittent fasting (between 12-16 hours fast a day), do not eat rice/pasta/potatoes/bread (except that damn pizza!) and I've incorporated a total change to strength training. Let's make #proudskinnybitch  into #proudrippedbitch  now! I set out to achieve my 180 lb Goal weight in 6 months (by Nov 7) but not sure if I'll make it. But hey, I might get pretty close. I was having a bad day . I felt crappy and bloated and just did not want to be where I was , so I went to the store and decided to try on some cute outfits to cheer myself up lol . Why , why would I think that’d cheer me up . 🤦🏼‍♀️. It made me feel worse . The bloat felt worse , my irritation was rising . And the lighting , we ladies know ALL  about that beautiful fluorescent lighting in the dressing rooms . I slowly started gazing over my arms and legs picking a part all the bumps and dimples . Wondering why it wa bothering me so much . I wanted to walk out crying ...And then I thought 💭 ... what would @theashleygraham do ?? 🙌🏼 Lol I seriously was standing there in the dressing room thinking about all my idols and how they always know how to rock their curves so perfectly with confidence... I want that . I’m proud of my curves , and I don’t want to feel like I have to hide them or wear spanx all the time  to fit the “norm” 🤣So I grabbed this romper , that looked so bad in my opinion.. cellulite, extra giggle, dimples & all >> and did my best to rock the shit out of it , if only for a moment 🤘🏼And it totally made me feel better ! Some days are rough y’all . But you got to live each day with positivity and love , and that includes self love .💕and you’ve got to have fun . .

Day 3 on Smart Points 🤗 I went grocery shopping today and got a lot more Smart Point friendly food, so I'm hoping my week will go a lot more smoothly from here on out! I got my 3rd blue dot and I have already exceeded my fit point goal! For dessert tonight I tried something a little different. I have been dying for some apple pie, so I made these mini apple pies. They are 5sp for 1 mini pie shell and 1/3 cup of the pie filling. I also added extra cinnamon. It was so good and hit the spot! 🍂🍁🍎❤

Sometimes is extremely frustrating to step on the scale. I've being with the same weight for some months now. And that's why I like to take pictures to remind myself where I was before today... I know there was a lot of change, maybe if I didn't have so many bumps on the way I could be feeling a lot better, but just to see a oicture from 7 months ago, make me thing I'm getting there. I have to remember it takes time, it took me more than 2 years when I first lost weight 4 years ago. 
I just have to keep reminding myself that I can do it, I did it once and I will do it again, it will take time, but I will get there!!!! .
