Some people have asked me why I do what I do. Why do I choose to work a "part-time" job when I already have a full-time job. Why I stick with this company 3.5 years later. Why not a different network marketing/home party-type company. How long will I continue to do this---Ummm, FOREVER! :-) I'm here to stay, BB can't get rid of me haha.
The truth is, this company is EVERYTHING I believe in. Quality fitness programming for EVERYBODY. Nutrition programs created by experts but easy enough for all of us to follow. Supplements created by Harvard-trained scientists that are also the OFFICIAL sports nutrition supplements of IRONMAN (umm, need I say more?!?) and a daily "shake" (omg I hate when people call it that lol) that has literally transformed my health from the inside out.
BUT MOST OF ALL.....This opportunity has brought these wonderful individuals (and many many more) into my life. Transformation update, people need to stop viewing transformation as a 12 week sprint, otherwise you’re always going to yo-yo as most methods aren’t practical or sustainable. My Sarah has been getting bad blisters from wearing her Fitbit. She would switch which wrists she would wear it on but that didn't help. SOOO, I came up with this genius idea! I cut up a sock so her Fitbit sensor would still be touching her skin. It totally worked!!
LONG POST🙇♀️. So lately I’ve decided to change my eating habits. To try and eat according to macros, well I have no fucking clue what I’m doing so my fats are always way to high, protein is to low and I can hit my carbs somewhat. I’m maintaining my weight around 191. So since I changed from keto to macros I’ve gained about 5 pounds within the first day, which is something I except due to water weight and what not. I get my gallon of water in everyday, but I just feel so lost with my eating. I’m going to the gym and I had my 3rd meet with my #committofit trainer so November 29 is my last one meaning I’ve been going to the gym 3+ times a week SO NOW I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT THIS DIET THING SO I CAN LOSE THE LAST 30 pounds !!!!! it’s honestly eating me alive, or more like I’m trying not to eat everything from it stressing me out 🤷♀️😂🤦♀️ I know this is my journey and with any journey there’s going to be confusion, hopelessness, anger,happiness and every other feeling with each passing day, but I didn’t think I would let some of the little things bother me this much. So here I am. Venting to the world. I’m very proud of where I’ve made it. I don’t cry leaving the house anymore because I feel like I may offend someone with being “to fat” , I feel pretty, it doesn’t hurt to workout like it use to, I can walk up my stairs without pain and I can get into a vehicle and off the couch like a normal healthy human. And most of all I can play with my children and keep up with them now 👨👩👧👦 I don’t discredit my hard work I’ve lost 72 pounds since this time last year . Depression sucks. Being sick sucks. Feeling like you're worthless because your body is always worn down to the point you can't do anything anymore also sucks. You know, I started this account to be honest, and as much as this pain sucks, what sucks worse is beating yourself up over it. As a binge eater and someone who struggles with depression, it's easy to go through life saying that I hate myself, but I want to start changing that language. Let's stop hating ourselves. Let's stop thinking we've done something so wrong that the only thing we can do to punish ourselves is by letting ourselves become isolated. Meal plans are, for the most part, pretty sucky 👎...
Most of the time, you're just paying someone way too much money to piece together foods & meals that hit a calorie/macro range that should (theoretically) help someone with your current stats lose weight.
But in my opinion, what's worse than the outrageous price you pay for something that takes 5 minutes to make is the fact that meal plans are pretty much useless for long-term success.
Sure, you might lose a few pounds if you follow the plan perfectly, but therein lies the problem. The ONLY way a meal plan will work is if it's followed to the "T" each and every day.
Which is why they usually don't work ❌. Usually, one of two things happen...
1️⃣ stuff comes up and you go off the plan, which is followed by cycles of being "ON" and "OFF" the plan.
2️⃣ You stick to it perfectly, but inevitably stop making progress and aren't sure what you should do to continue seeing changes

Now, having said all that, I DO think meal plans can be beneficial, especially for folks who're busy and don't have time to be constantly thinking about what's next on the menu.
The trick is for YOU to be in charge of creating them based on your lifestyle and preferences. What's more, they should be flexible for when things come up, and you need to adjust.
These four steps are perfect for building your own personalized fat loss meal plan. You might be thinking, "This is a bit simple, isn't it Carter?..." and that's exactly the point!
In my experience, the simpler the plan, the easier it is to be accurate and stay consistent. Plus, when life does happen ('cause it will), you won't need to worry about being 100% accurate since you know the majority of your meals are on point 👌

💥HOW TO BURN FAT💥
🌵Most people, despite putting in a ton of time and effort for years on end, get locked into a perpetual diet for a majority of their life. A never ending cycle of gaining and losing the same weight over and over, and often never truly being happy with how they look and feel in their own skin.
🏓And that sucks. Not just because you're putting in so much time and effort without the result you want, but also because not feeling good and confident in your own skin can seep into all aspects of your life, and I never want anyone to feel that way ever again.
🐥The thing about the fitness industry is it changes your expectations. It drives you to believe there is a "best workout" or "best diet" or "best exercise" or "best supplement" or blah blah blah. And all this does is cause you to look for that one "quick fix" that will give you the best results in the least amount of time. And when you look for the quick fix...you set yourself up for disappointment.
🥐Listen, you know there is no quick fix. You know there is no magic pill or wizarding sorcery or powerful potion that will fast track you to success.
🎨It's not sexy or marketable or fun...but the only way to achieve your goals is through consistent exercise, solid nutrition, and hard work. That really is "the secret."
🥁BUT! The part I don't want you to forget is that I believe in you. I really do. I'm not just saying it to say it. I'm saying it because I've worked with thousands of people - many of whom didn't believe they could succeed - and simply knowing someone else believed in them gave them the power and drive to keep powering forward. Keep pushing and driving and working even (and especially) when they felt like all hope was gone.
🎯Remember this --> I believe in you and there isn't a doubt in my mind you can succeed. Not one. Because you can. I know you can. The only caveat is now YOU need to believe in you. YOU need to trust yourself. YOU need to be your biggest supporter and believe in your own ability to succeed. Because once you believe in yourself, I truly believe anything is possible.

Day 3 on Smart Points 🤗 I went grocery shopping today and got a lot more Smart Point friendly food, so I'm hoping my week will go a lot more smoothly from here on out! I got my 3rd blue dot and I have already exceeded my fit point goal! For dessert tonight I tried something a little different. I have been dying for some apple pie, so I made these mini apple pies. They are 5sp for 1 mini pie shell and 1/3 cup of the pie filling. I also added extra cinnamon. It was so good and hit the spot! 🍂🍁🍎❤
Take a walk off the beaten path. While looking for the canal in Richmond, we came across this pipeline trail, in which you have to walk down a ladder to get on this ramp. Such a rustic look. And so much history in this city 😍 #pipelinetrail
I'm really falling for programs that mix cardio and weights because cardio is hard and weights make me feel strong 💪! Upper body workout today (weights and body weight movements), and this little movement is one of those moves that looks super easy but just sneaks up on you (or maybe just me?! Please tell me I'm not alone!)
