Flying high above the peruvian Andes. Although I usually prefer taking long distance buses in Latin America, the flight from Lima to Cusco is an absolute must-do. Mountains of more than 6000m partly covered with clouds. I could just guess the enormous size of those glaciers down there, but it left me speechless!
Not a bad end to a tough day chasing pike at #colwickpark with @andyjohnnyyoung , 2 very close follows seen through the crystal waters but no take!! Frustrating but a good incentive to return! #pikeonthefly
Wishing it was last weekend when we were seein these types of views. This weekend, the only views I have are the ones from my couch. I’ve been sick all week but I’m finally on the mend. 🤟🏼 Maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to get outside.
I don't normally carry treats for two reasons - 1, Robin is only situationally food motivated so it's sometimes a waste of space, and 2, I'm lazy about making them and too cheap to buy expensive chicken jerky regularly. This has a very useful side benefit - he doesn't expect treats in return for routine good behavior. However, it also has an occasional downside - he basically prostrates himself at the feet of anyone who does have worthwhile treats.
Seemingly floating through the sky as the soft, flickering light hovers just above.
One of my favorite things about being here in the winter is the way the sun just barely peeks over the mountains, like it’s taking a quick glance at what’s down below and then heads off to say hello to another country.
I've had a fear of heights since I was a little boy, when I almost fell off a second storey. I don't have vertigo, I can stand at the edge of a cliff no problem as long as I'm tethered. This past summer I really made a point to push myself and try to conquer that fear. Sitting at the edge of the Grand Canyon, as the sun came up, was one of those once in a lifetime experiences, and crawled and scooted all the way to the edge, as far as I could go, and sat there for a while, taking it all in.
