Every ending is always a new beginning..You can look at failure two ways, be upset that you failed and rethink your past or get excited for what is to come and use your energy to focus on new opportunities..Get up, get to work and get excited for what is to come! 🌏🙌🏻
“I did not come this far, to only come this far.” On the fifth day of my three month program, I have challenged myself in ways that I haven’t been challenged in a long time. It has not been easy, and it won’t get any easier, but I will get stronger. And it will be worth it.
Because I am stronger than my temptations.
I am confident in my direction.
And I am committed to my goals.
How does your morning feel?
Is it rushed? Is it hectic?
Or do you gently rise and start a new day?
If you are a busy person like most everyone, with a life and job and business and family, mornings are super busy.
But they don't need to be stressful, and if 30 seconds to yourself can make a difference, would you not take it? 💡
I put my eight-morning affirmations on a poster for you so you can just open your phone and read them to yourself before your morning rush routine: 🗣 📝📱 #morningmotivation ✨🌞💫
So many tests! 🔬⚗️ We do a lot of testing here at Mini Museum. What you see here are various types of resin cured under different conditions (temperature, time, pressure, etc). It took quite some time to make all these, but studies like this inform our process for stabilizing and embedding the wide variety of materials we work with.
Funny enough though, even with testing like this we often come across unexpected reactions. These surprises are not always good, but they are always a joy. It is part of the process of discovery and sharing, and in many ways that defines the heart of what we do.
6:30 a.m hot water shut off while washing my hair. I had 2 options, either it ruins my day or I embrace the lesson. Chose the second. "Regardless of today's challenges keep a cool head and a warm heart" Happy Friday 😍😘 #morningmotivation#winterchallenge
Stand for something or
Fall for anything
I read an article recently about the habits and mindset of highly successful people and one of them was do not dismiss the cliches. #truth 🌸🌺🧡🌍🧡🌺
Woke up this morning to a newsfeed full of @corybooker and his stand against hatred and the comments that followed.. oh my lord. I can’t even. As if 45 weren’t enough, reading all these people jumping on the bandwagon and slinging racial slurs and hate and accusing booker of being the racist. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because that’s what happened when I posted my own experience as the daughter of an immigrant in this country hearing the words of 45. I can’t say that a part of me doesn’t cry and die a little each time I hear this hate mongering but that brings me to another cliche...
If people are mad at ya, that means you’re doing something right!
Though of course I’d rather people not be mad, this is part of the great symphony of life. There is no light without dark, happiness without sadness, progress without regression and supposed ‘failures’. We need it all to grow and thrive. And so I do my best to embrace it all... to stay peaceful but to also stay true to my beliefs
There is a lot of talk in the yoga world about focusing on the positive... another cliche.. where you bring your attention, your energy flows and the matter grows... so the response is often to stop pouring energy into the things you dislike and rather pour your energy into the things that nourish your soul and heart. And I believe this to be a wise piece of advice for the most part for most times. I mean after all what _is_ the point of giving yourself a heart attack or an ulcer or insomnia worrying or fighting over something outside your power? And I truly do believe so much of what happens in this world is energetics and we can often cause a much more powerful change and shift simply by changing and shifting our own personal energy and literally cultivating and nourishing the good we seek, same as you might cultivate and nourish a garden or support and nurture a growing child
And this is a big but
The future is a big, scary place. The things we want and the things we need can look like mountains ahead of us. We tell ourselves all the reasons we can’t, all the reasons we might fail, all the people who will stand by laughing, saying they told us we weren’t cut out for it. .
Sweet things, be fucking brave. Name the things you want in this life and go after them with a fierceness that can’t be shut down. No one but you knows what’s in your heart and on your mind, so no one but you can tell you if you have it in you. .
Try the new thing. Go the new place. Meet the new people. Keep moving and growing and reaching for all that you want. You deserve to live a life that makes you happy and proud. But you’re gonna have to be brave to get there. You’re gonna have to stand up to a lot of fears and walls and expectations. .
You have it in you. All of it. You always have. I’m absolutely certain of it. ❤️
