:: who else is absolutely living for these cosy, festive evenings indoors?
I've become quite ritualistic about lighting the candles on the coffee table come 6pm, settling on the sofa with a hot chocolate and simply enjoying the soft twinkling of the fairy lights on the Christmas tree creating patterns on the walls. 🌲✨
Enjoying these slower moments has worked wonders in helping me feel less overwhelmed, especially when the days seem to be getting away from me so quickly recently!
Ran up to this beauty of a lake the other week with a new friend. He's done it many times and I've always put this one off since, well, so many people... but it's always amazing to find a new love of a hike in our beautiful state. Thanks so much for introducing it to me @jrowe50!!

As my life is so busy these days, I’m currently on a “7 days of managing stress” guided meditation series with my meditation app Calm.🙏
Loved hearing about the “STOP” practice.
Whenever you feel that stress is taking over your life, follow these easy steps:
1. Stop what you’re currently doing.
2. Take a deep breath.
3. Observe your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Try to find out what exactly it is that’s causing all this stress.
It’s so important to have little breaks during the day, no matter how busy you are.🍵
Did you know that stress is actually one of the biggest reasons why people get sick or even develop serious diseases?
It’s become so normal in our day and age to feel stressed but it’s far from normal, it’s not the way it should be.
However, what I love about these stressful phases is that I actually feel more productive.🐒
I guess I like a little bit of pressure here and there to get things done.
When there’s so much to do and you can’t take a lot of time to just chill, the risk to get into this “oh, I can do this later” procrastination loop is also way lower.😉
You’re just forced to take action, to move, to get all these things done.
Maybe that’s what made it possible for me to go running at 4:40 this morning..🤔
Anyway, I'm still gonna be so grateful when these 2 weeks are over and I'm finally able to relax at my parents’ for Christmas and to truly calm down.💆
Anxiety holds me back more than I'd care to admit. Imposter syndrome, wallowing in self-doubt, becoming overwhelmed at minor setbacks. I've come a long way but there's still a long road ahead - this coming year I'm determined to meet even more health goals, implement an ongoing self-care regemine and make more career and travel dreams a reality than I ever have before.

You might feel stuck sometimes and things may seem impossible, but you can do it. You are your own biggest obstacle (trust me, I found that out the hard way). Believe, work hard and never give up. Your dreams are closer than you think.

This is it. Gimme a beautiful lake, some fresh mountain air and some surround me with green... 🌲🦌❤️🙏
The last gathering at my place was about connecting to Durga. We went on a journey of self discovery: the discovery of our power, stillness within us, peace and love.
We listened to the wind, connected to Mother Earth, shared our feelings and emotions with each other. We opened a space to be vulnerable, to be accepted and loved the way we are.
Welcome to our next shamanic gathering 7 January in my place. It will be about healing our ancestral trauma. We will open space again for authenticity, honesty, vulnerability.
We will connect to the elements and of course will call Grandfather Fire 🔥 for healing. Please book tickets in advance, link is in bio.
Where is your sanctuary?
Where do you feel most alive, most secure and safe, grounded?
It is said that everyone of us have at least one so called "soul place" upon this earth. A place that you feel deeply connected with. A place, where you can feel a strong sense of safety. A place, where you feel being at peace. A place, where your senses are very alert, but balanced.
Mine is here. In the middle of this infinitely blooming greenery. Breathing in the fresh air of freedom. Listening to the natures harmonious symphony. And just feeling everything.
"Let your own innate cycles dictate the upsurges and the downward cycles of your life, not other forces or persons outside yourself, nor negative complexes within." Clarissa Pinkola Estes ✨
With the festive season in full swing, perhaps you feel like you're pushing or even fighting against your natural rhythm? Maybe you're burnt out, exhausted and oh so ready to pop that Out Of Office on? I know I certainly am. ✨
I recently wrote a blog around "The Natural Dance Of Life" and how just like the seasons your energy rises and falls. Often this time of year your diary may be filled to the brim when perhaps all your body wants to do is rest and hibernate. It's no wonder there is so much illness around Christmas time. ✨
The wisdom is tuning into and honouring whatever cycle you're in at this very moment. Rest if you need to rest, party if you need to party - just simply allow your innate rhythm to guide your dance. ✨🌲Link in my bio to read more🌲✨
When you reach out to someone who is hurting, that small gesture can have a big impact. ⠀
11 days and counting. Do your best not to try to do it all and be purposeful on the things that are important and truly matter during the holiday season. This is a beautiful and special time of the year. Don’t let stress take over and stay focused on a season of love, giving and family memories. Show kindness, help others, and have patience. Spread the Christmas spirit! 😊🎄🎁
Thank you all for following the journal prompts over the past two weeks🌿 I hope you have been inspired to explore nature and discovered something new or noticed a difference in your own life through this deeper connection🐦. How would you complete this prompt? "What I learned this week that is amazing is......"
The explosive song of birds
that welcome the blush of dawn.
The sacred voice of the wind
that stirs my searching soul.
The music of mountain streams
that fall in crystal showers.
The flaming torrent of color
that pours from the evening skies.
The call of the whip-poor-will
that takes me to my dreams.
These my gifts from Mother Earth
