So this one has taken quite a bit of work and processing! Last month I went to the dales with a friend to shoot the stars, this one of the Orion constellation. a stacked 15 x 2 min exposures, using a star tracker mount (to track the movement of the earth). Within Orion, you can see the Orion Nebula, Running Man Nebula, just about make out the Horsehead Nebula (bottom star in Orion's Belt), also the bright Rosette Nebula (on the left), the Angelfish Nebula (very faint at the top), Barnard's Loop (the red crescent below Orion), as well as Betelgeuse (the orange star about to go supernova). Can't wait to have another go at this - many thanks to @jameschristopherphoto for the loan of his star tracker for half an hour!
