I'm loving the cool fall mornings. Had a nice 3.9 mile walk with the besties before taking my son to therapy. I'm loving how I feel after a workout and the burst of energy it gives me. Now I'm working on getting in my strength training using my online fitness streaming program. I can't see what the next month brings.

My legs have always been my least fav body part, the most difficult part to shape and change.
They were not ever something I would want to draw attention to.

I worked my ass 🍑 off this last few months to change my body, to get my body strong, healthy and guess what my big ass legs are strong AF and I 💜 them.
They support me and they move me, they give me the power to keep up w my kids!! .
Life is too damn short to not wear leggings.

I am so thankful that I’ve found this lifestyle. I’m so much healthier and happier and so is my family. I know I am doing their bodies good when I buy mostly fresh produce and meat. We do of coarse still buy processed foods but it’s very limited and all about balance! 🔷 when I take the time to buy the right foods and prep and prepare them, everything else takes care of it’s self. The biggest surprise is that I’m not paying any more for my groceries than I was before, its the same and sometimes less! 🔷 I know I’m going to continue to live a happy and healthy life that I’m setting up for my daughter alongside my husband. Okay guys, I am so excited for this, and no, you are not seeing things!! I know this will make some of you very happy, and for others, not so much. I want to tell you there are 37 days until Thanksgiving and yes, 69 days until Christmas! Now I know this causes anxiety for many of you, but that was not my intention. I want to make you all HEALTHY FOR THE HOLIDAYS!! Did you know that the majority of Americans gain 10 to 15 lbs between the beginning of fall and December 31st. This is because the weather gets cooler, the sweaters go on, the leggings get pulled out of the drawer, and we bulk up for the cold weather....NOT THIS YEAR!

The Holidays are wonderful, they are family and friends, and celebration, and thankfulness and FOOD!!!! So many of us go into the holidays not happy with how we are feeling or looking, and then the holidays come, and we tend to overeat, and snack which is ok....but what if we change it up a bit?? I am starting a group on October 30th...21 days to get healthier and to lose 10 to 15 pounds. Thanksgiving will then be here, and on November 27th we will do another round of 21 days, and we will lose 10 to 15 more pounds if we need to. We would go into our Holiday season healthier, happier and at least 30 lbs lighter than ever before.

We will:
1. Eat real, healthy, portion controlled food
2. Move our body daily
3. Have our superfood meal 
4. Stay accountable with me every day.
I think that this will be the first time many of us will go into the Holidays healthy, happier, lighter and be able to enjoy our new healthy lives with everyone around us!

“If God did everything you were asking Him to do in your life through someone else, would you still praise Him?” Talk about a gut check. I know for me, that is hard one. One ☝🏼 Jesus has been working on. I have been asking myself a lot lately...or maybe God is revealing to me, who gets the majority of my time, my thoughts, my efforts? And why? Whose approval am I truly living for. 
The truth is, I don’t need to fight for my acceptance or approval. He has already accepted me. He has already deemed me worthy. Knowing Him and sharing Him with others is the goal. 
Success has to be about our obedience to Him and not about the outcome of our actions. Living loud for Jesus because of our love for Him. Anything else is trying to take control away from Him and ignoring His authority and uniquely designed plan for our lives. It is for His glory. It is for the concern of knowing Him not being known.

Day 2 of My 60 day program gives a choice of two workouts. One was plyometric, the other Cardio 🤔

Here’s the thing, I’m not s big fan of either 😂

So I took the approach of which one will I be done quicker and chose 20 minutes if Cardio over 30 of Plyo.

This was no ordinary Cardio. This was buttkicking Cardio!!!! I feel great! 😊

When I woke up this morning I took some quiet time to thank God for letting me open my eyes this morning and to be able to enjoy another day of this wonderful life! We all have that to be thankful for and it got me thinking to all of the things that we put off because they are uncomfortable, or out of the way, or take some effort.

So I am telling myself and you that tomorrow is not promised!! Whatever it is that you want to do and have been putting off...DO IT! Go see or even call your mom or dad if you can, call your brother or sister that you havent talked to in a long time, start taking care of yourself in your new, healthy lifestyle...do whatever it is that you have been putting off. It is going to make you feel so good, and make you wonder why you have been avoiding it for so long.

So have a wonderful, purposeful day my friends..and let's all be the best we can be!

I was walking through the airport when an incredible aroma suddenly grabbed my attention and taunted, “Do you know how happy I can make you?” A candy shop had just made a fresh batch of
nutty, caramel popcorn. .
I felt my knees get weak, because I love caramel popcorn. I get it...(I'm all about pie!! And Christmas cookies! And Kringle!! (But seriously...have you tried Kringle?!?) .
My point is -- don't worry -- I plan to celebrate the season too!

So what exactly is OPERATION HEALTHY HOLIDAYS? It's similar to my monthly accountability groups -- but this time it's packaged into a brand new 8 week program to help you get the best results (and not go completely (only slightly 😜) over board during the holidays!)

So here's how it will work...

OCTOBER:

For the rest of the month, we'll concentrate on nutrition. The basics! Easy to follow meal plans, yummy recipes -- we'll go over what (and how much) you should be eating to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We'll also get moving with quick 30 minute at home workouts!
.
HALLOWEEN -- we treat ourselves. 🎃

NOVEMBER:
.
We pick up the pace a little! We push ourselves a little harder with our workouts and dial in our nutrition a bit. This will take a little more motivation and discipline -- just planning ahead for turkey day!!

THANKSGIVING -- we treat ourselves. 🍗🍷

DECEMBER:

This is when things start to get serious! 😜 Three weeks of hard work and rapid results. You'll be fueling your body with healthy food, feeling stronger, feeling more confident, mastering positive mindset, and proving to yourself that YOU CAN DO IT!

Working out just didn’t seem that appealing to me today. But I knew the ladies in my challenge group didn’t let a bad day at work keep them from working out & I snapped out of it & pressed play and guess what..... I’m not as cranky any more 🤣💪
Did I want to work out today? Absolutely not. Burn circuit and a 1.5 mile run done!  What did I learn today:

1) I am way stronger than I thought. I can absolutely go heavier!

If you’re craving something pumpkin-flavored for breakfast, forget about a sugary pumpkin spiced latte and go for these wholesome pumpkin protein pancakes instead. 
Not only do they have a lot less sugar and fat than a usual PSL, they are also packed with 22 grams of protein. Now that sounds like a much better way to enjoy this fall flavor.

Tip: Leftover pancakes can be reheated in the toaster.  Ingredients 🎃 1 cup pumpkin puree 🎃 ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk 🎃 3 large egg whites (⅓ cup) 🎃 1 tsp . pure vanilla extract 🎃 1 cup quick cooking oats 🎃 1 scoop whey protein powder , vanilla flavor 🎃 ½ tsp . ground cinnamon 🎃 ½ tsp . ground nutmeg 🎃 1 tsp . baking powder 🎃 Nonstick cooking spray 🎃 2 Tbsp . reduced fat (2%) plain Greek yogurt

Instructions

1.  Combine pumpkin, almond milk, egg whites, and extract a medium bowl; whisk to blend. Set aside.
2.  Combine oats, protein powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking powder in a medium bowl; mix well.
3.  Add oat mixture to pumpkin mixture; mix until just blended.
4.  Heat large nonstick skillet lightly coated with spray over medium heat. Ladle about ¼ cup batter for each pancake; cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until bubbles form on top. Flip. Cook for 90 seconds, or until golden brown and cooked through.
5.  Divide pancakes between two serving plates; top evenly with yogurt.

Why do people begin a healthy lifestyle? The number one answer is to lose weight, and look better. That is a very important reason, because we all want to look better, I would be fibbing if I said that I didn't, but there is something more important, tht carries over to the outside.

When you start getting healthy, you start to feel differently on the inside. You are not as tired, you don't have as many aches and pains, you don't get as winded going up and down stairs, your hair is shinier, your skin looks better, your teeth and gums are stronger and healthier, your blood pressure goes down, your cholesterol goes down, your sugar level goes down, you have less joint pain and swelling, you have less anxiety and are not as depressed...YOU ARE HAPPIER AND YOU SMILE MORE!! Why do people begin a healthy lifestyle? The number one answer is to lose weight, and look better. That is a very important reason, because we all want to look better, I would be fibbing if I said that I didn't, but there is something more important, tht carries over to the outside. When you start getting healthy, you start to feel differently on the inside. You are not as tired, you don't have as many aches and pains, you don't get as winded going up and down stairs, your hair is shinier, your skin looks better, your teeth and gums are stronger and healthier, your blood pressure goes down, your cholesterol goes down, your sugar level goes down, you have less joint pain and swelling, you have less anxiety and are not as depressed...YOU ARE HAPPIER AND YOU SMILE MORE!! Titus 2:3-5 says, “ Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.” No matter your age, there are always women coming after you in their spiritual journey and you are called to a great purpose. To lead by example, chase after Jesus and love your sisters in Christ. 💋💕💋

Good morning friends! Happy Monday to you all. Are you up, have you moved your body...definite time to fuel up..it could be the best day of the week for us...the choice is ours!

We can make today whatever we want it to be. We can crawl out of bed, throw on our clothes, and slither out the door. That is the same way we are going to go into work, the same way we are going to be to people around us, and the same way we are going to feel until we put our heads back on the pillow tonight.

Or.....we can get out of bed, take a brief moment to be thankful for the chance to open our eyes, move our body, hop in the shower, fuel up, hop in the car with a positive mindset, and go into work feeling happy with ourselves and ready to do the best we can at whatever it is we do.

It will make such a difference in your day...that small amount of time that you invest in your mindset in the morning will carry you throughout the day!! So let's have a great Monday, and let's all be the best we can be!

Day 4: Are Cravings Chasing You?

A well-known weight loss company recently ran a television ad about a little orange monster chasing a woman throughout her day, tempting her with foods that obviously weren’t part of her healthy eating plan. This ad perfectly captures what it feels like to be harassed by cravings all day long. It’s a scenario that has defined the greater part of my adult life. .
I believe God made us to crave. Now, before you think this is some sort of cruel joke by God, let me assure you that the object of our craving was never supposed to be food, sex, money, or chasing after significance. .
Think of Eve’s temptation in the garden of Eden. While the object that enticed her might have been an apple, the core of her struggle was that she wanted to be like God, knowing good and evil. The very downfall of humanity was caused when the first woman surrendered to a craving to eat something she wasn’t supposed to eat, and to pursue a power that she was never intended to wield. But it doesn’t stop there. Look at how Jesus was tempted in Matthew 4: .
After fasting forty days and forty nights . . . Satan came to Jesus and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” (vv. 2 – 4) .
Satan tried to appeal to Jesus’ physical craving for food. But here’s the significant difference between Eve and Jesus. Eve was saturated in the object of her desire. Jesus was saturated in God’s truth. Jesus had been in a desert fasting for forty days. But He held strong and set a powerful example of how to escape the vicious grip of temptation. When we feel deprived and consumed with wanting unhealthy choices, we too can rely on the truth of God’s Word to help us. .
With each of Satan’s temptations, Jesus quoted Scripture without hesitation to refute that temptation. Truth is powerful. The more saturated we are with truth, the more powerful we’ll be in resisting our temptations. And the more we’ll naturally direct our cravings where they should be directed — to the Author of all truth. .

If it seems like it's easy for some people to get results, it's because those people don't share the difficult things. 
This weekend was a struggle for me. I worked all day Saturday. I didn't workout today, I didn't meal prep (well just a little), I didn't even make dinner. I planned on getting a ton done this weekend and being super prepared for the next week but instead I spent some much needed friend time with my bff and took a 2 hour nap. Sorry, Not sorry!  BUT once I finished my dinner of popcorn and soup I sat down and made a plan for the next 2 weeks and I committed to my next program. 
I now have a plan for what I want to achieve, I've refocused on why it matters, and I know what I need to do to get there!  I'm going to work hard and not give up. That's all it takes! #beachbody #chaleanextreme #newprogram #pickaprogram #sorrynotsorry #nap

This week we plan to share our hearts with you on why it is so vital, how we make it happen, even when we are, especially when we are, really busy and what exactly we do to take care of ourselves. This will be a time of growing together, doing life together {at least for this week}, being supported and loved on in this little thing we like to call...community. It’s essential. I need it.
