Once in a while (but pretty often on Friday at 6:30am at @blackhousestrong ) we get a class that is all chicks. Today was one of those days where I stopped and took a second to soak up what was actually happening. This group of girls is up before the sun to throw some iron around. HOW FUCKING COOL IS THAT? This was probably unheard of about 20 years ago, or very underground if anything. Grateful to be able to teach women to love the barbell and break the traditions of the typical female workouts that most of the time don’t include weights. These moments in training are my favourite. After a heavy AM session and a long sweaty evening workout the little voice of gains whispered, “Go and PR your power clean” in my ear. I was tired and frustrated at my performance throughout the day. Then I hit a 117.5kg PR. *

Could have moved a bit faster but still ok considering that it is 2,5kg below my old PR and in a very fatigued and not acclimated to heavy percentages state.
The goal for january/february when my next testing phase will be was to at least hit 80kg and if it goes well 82,5kg.
