My plan today was to run before work, but that didn't happen (🙄😶 - I did my #yogaeverydamnday2018 , though), so I ran after work instead. I didn't run as far as I thought from the beginning, but something is better than nothing 😅 .
Are you sweating in the weekend?

The thing I love most about long run day is it’s me vs. me! Now that I’m thick into training for this 2nd race I forgot how much I missed the alone with my thoughts and how it gives me time to wrestle with things I don’t understand or dream about whats next. But it’s all about how deep I can dig to take the next step and that’s what I crave. Loving the journey even more the 2nd time around. #marathontraining#runhappy#longrunday
got a 3 mi run in by the beach w my sis! we're definitely going to have to take it slower during the pasadena half this weekend but we're ready!
i introduced her to @nuunhydration too and she loves it! 😊
📷: @markbiasphotography // I can't wait to jog across this beast with thousands of other people this March!
2018 started off with an extremely sad but necessary ending. I have regrets, but I'm thankful for the clarity it gave me.
Now I can wholeheartedly focus on my goals and dreams, and hopefully form relationships with people who are on the same path of self improvement and discovery as me.
This is the first time since I was probably 20 or 21 years old that I've felt certain about what I want, and I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get going!! #thegreat28#2018goals#runhappy
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this one must be worth a thousand more. Running hasn’t always been as comforting & necessary to my daily routine as it is now. It’s been a wild journey, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Running has given me the space and time to grow, to heal, to process, and to strengthen mind & body. It’s given me opportunity to run for those who can’t, honor loved ones, & encourage forward movement. Training for the 2017 Novant Health Charlotte Marathon was one of the most invigorating journeys, I experienced so many highs and many lows from feeling stronger than I’ve ever felt to navigating an injury & personal doubts/anxiety. I know for a fact I crossed the finish line stronger than I was in March when I started training, and I owe that to my community, my streets, and team of supporters. It was incredible to be apart of Charlotte’s running community training with friends, ambassadors, and even total strangers, and to see people signing up to run a race for the first time or the 100th! If I were to pick a single favorite moment, it was crossing the finish line to get a hug from my Dad. I swear there was a tear in his eye as he explained to me that he now understands “runners” & what he learned about the running community by participating in the 5K, then watching the half & full marathoners come in as he waited for me. He described the atmosphere as one of hope and love, he noted the determination & raw emotion on the runners faces as they ran up, and most of all he emphasized the community and the support amongst everyone. He was so touched that he stated he himself would sign up for the 2018 Charlotte Half Marathon. I don’t think I could be anymore excited to share the training process with my Dad this year. To see him, to see all of the Dad’s, Mom’s, brothers, best friends, coworkers, and neighbors cross the finish line is what keeps me motivated. Our streets, our city, our people, our race. I want to return as a 2018 marathon ambassador because I can't get enough! I can’t wait to train, to run, to love with my community this year; by making it their’s I’ll make the 2018 Novant Health Charlotte Marathon my own.
No sane person actually likes leg day!!
NO-ONE!!! Don't try to lie to me. 🤣🤣
I am not sure how I'm going to run tomorrow since walking will be a struggle.
It's amazing how a little set of bands and light weights can really crush you. .
What are you doing today to get closer towards your goal? Whatever it is just crush it!!!
Have a Happy Friday!!!
