Oh Amazon... I started thinking about a sauna hat, & then I started looking at sauna hats... Well, it should arrive next Monday. It's a Ukrainian style one. I couldn't do one of those bell shaped ones. The ad for one of those said, "You'll be the center of attention!" I'm pretty sure this is already going to draw enough attention as it is. But, if it helps guard against the brain getting "cooked," I'm willing to give it a try. I do drive home, after putting myself in 160f degree heat for 20 minutes, followed by plunging myself in cold water afterwards. The sensations of the sauna experience can range from mild to intense. I think mild is the desired goal, since it is an indication of better general stasis of health. When it's been a while, or one is hungover, those are the times it can be more intense! Anyways, this arrives Monday of next week. Renewing my commitment to taking the sauna regularly. Last year, due to financial constraints, I had let my gym membership lapse. A few months back now, they sent me a very favorable renewal offer, with the payment for a year, in advance, I got two additional months free. I don't really do a whole lot at the gym. Sometimes I'll swim. Sometimes, I'll even use the treadmill. My favorite thing however, is to do this! I love the sauna! Always at the restart, it takes some endurance building. Sauna headaches are a real thing. I think I'm gonna get one of those sauna hats, the kind that Baltic & Russian people wear. Supposedly, those cut down on head troubles associated with sauna usage. I drink lots of water! Each of those bottles are 24 fluid ounces. So, that's 72 fl oz of water per 20 minutes. About 2hrs later, I start to pee a lot! And, it's urgent! Not one of those, "I'll hold it.", types. Anyways, love being in here. I'm not really supposed to be taking pictures. But, I was all alone. And, I think it's so perfect. It's totally vintage late '70's to early '80's, no updates, etc. It's a real sauna! Only a week back on it, since it's no longer 90-100f degrees outside. My skin & hair are already feeling so much softer. Oh, at this particular location, there's not a cold plunge. I prefer, & strongly recommend a cold plunge after a sauna. Another location of the same ownership, has one. I always use it when I'm there! At this one, I just have a cold shower afterwards. I do have to slowly make the water colder...
