One time we were playing a game at church. We were supposed to pretend to be another person from the group and people would ask us questions to try and find out who we were. My good friend (@ericaevangelinetaylor) had my name, which I figured out before the rest of the group. When they asked her "is this person organized?" I let out an audible laugh and she said the kindest, realest thing. She said, "this person has a lot of strengths, but organization isn't one of them." .
That was a big AHA moment for me. I wasn't offended or embarrassed, like I might usually be. She had reminded me that I am so much more than the things I struggle with. She reminded be that a true friend sees the good things first and is willing to laugh off your faults. .
Recognize your strengths. Own them like you so easily own your weaknesses. Talk to yourself like a friend, and remember that people love you despite your imperfections. ❤️
