Interesting concept i stumbled across from @revivestronger. Never actually thought about periodizing my music like I do all my other facets of training. Considering next week is a deload for me, perhaps I’ll use that time to also catch up on some podcasts 👌 read the caption below to learn more.

🎧However, now I certainly make sure to listen to podcasts in my deloads when I don't need any sort of uplift and save my best tunes & use the loudest volume during my toughest workouts.

So the STRUGGLE IS REAL..I haven’t been able to train properly due to battling a cold, which is annoying AF..so this is just me playing with my nemesis the muscle up, gotta focus on this baby again to clean it all up. First of all I gotta get my false grip conditioned to be able to lock out my elbows at the bottom, once that is done the rest will be easy 😜 #playtime#rjttraining

I get messages all the time asking about how to put on body mass and then they complain right after about their training and diet methods not being effective enough. When I ask them how long they’ve been training for, I get guys saying “6 months”, “1 year or so” and some even claiming “that I’ve just started”...
Man, I understand everybody wants to look great, have an amazing body, feel great about themselves but a lot of people have absolutely no desire to work hard for it. The first time I ever stepped in the gym, I didn’t have a single clue about training. I couldn’t curl 10lbs dumbbells, I couldn’t benchpress the bar (45lbs), squatting or deadlifting was a game I didn’t know existed. It’s was always on and off for me because I didn’t have any guidance, no trainer and everything was trial and error. I watched the big guys at my gym lifting and I maybe gathered some courage to ask them what exercises to do and not to do. Between years 2010 to 2013, I went through a serious depression phase and gym was my only escape. I put all my negative energy under the weights so I could atleast go home with some positive attitude. However through all this I never gave up and started to fall in love with the process. Eventually I started trying out different methods, watched YouTube videos, trained with guys at the gym and started eating a lot! My physique finally started changing and people started noticing that I workout and have made significant gains. The self confidence and self esteem was definitely in a better place at this point! After all these years, I feel like I finally have a purpose and drive to help other people achieve their fitness goals and overcome the obstacles. No matter if you’re underweight or overweight, just remember that you MUST get started, fall in LOVE with the process and be PATIENT because it takes time! Enjoy your training, enjoy the food, enjoy your lifestyle and NEVER GIVE UP!
